Oxford University Press is recruiting for a dynamic Workshop, Product and Training Specialist to work alongside our Workshop, Product and Training Manager through project managing the rollout of workshops based on training needs and product development opportunities within the marketplace.
The Workshop, Product and Training Specialist will be responsible for collaborating with cross functional teams, implementing go-to market strategies for new OUP products and services, measuring workshop, training programs and product initiatives’ effectiveness, providing recommendations toward continuous improvement.
The Workshop, Product and Training Specialist will report to the Workshop, Product and Training Manager.
This post is based in Goodwood, Cape Town.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Training and workshop collateral: Create, organize, and distribute sales/workshop collateral, brochures, product sheets, and other materials that the sales team uses to communicate the value of publications to customers. Ensure that sales representatives have access to the most up-to-date and relevant materials. Communicate out of print and forthcoming titles to Sales teams.
- Content creation and administration: Ensures that the sales team has access to high-quality, relevant, and up-to-date content that helps them communicate the value of the company's publications. This includes sales collateral, product presentations, curriculum documents, policy documents, whitepapers, and other materials that assist the sales team in their interactions with customers.
- Training and skill development: Facilitate training programs and workshops to enhance the sales team's product knowledge, sales techniques, objection handling, and negotiation skills. Ensure that the sales team is well-equipped with the necessary skills to effectively communicate the unique value proposition of each publication and close deals. Assist the Workshop Manager with executing the training schedules (internal and external).
- Recording of data: Capturing, reviewing and analysis of data. From events, workshops and booklists, record, and store on Salesforce. Regularly perform a data audit to ensure data hygiene.
- Collaboration with Marketing and content teams: Collaborates closely with marketing and content teams to align messaging and content with sales goals. Ensure that marketing materials and Professional Development content are tailored to the needs of the sales team and the market. Ensure that the sales teams and market feedback inform content creation.
- Content development: Compile content developer database. Commission content developer for identified content and skills focus. Supply developer with key resources and writing templates. Submit courses for SACE Accreditation. Ensure subject matter experts are recruited, and trained and their activities are quality controlled. Develop brand and product content when required.
- Workshop strategy implementation: Execute the workshop strategy and plan. Responsible for coordinating and reporting on events and workshops across Southern Africa.

Oxford University Press is recruiting for a Sales Enablement Coordinator to assist the sales team in Africa with salesforce and other sales technology tools and systems administration, reports, training, and support.
The Sales Enablement Coordinator will report to the Head of Sales Enablement.
This post is based in Goodwood, Cape Town.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Sales technology tools and administration: Assist the Sales team by helping with general Salesforce and other sales technology administration.
- Training: Provide in-person face-to-face and virtual training to the Sales team to use Salesforce and other sales technology effectively in line with specific requests and general business tasks.
- Strategy and problem solving: Drive continuous improvement of the use of Salesforce and other sales technology by the Sales team in line with sales best practice and processes. Contribute to salesforce and other sales technology future facing changes and improvements.
- Technical support: Ensure that queries for technical support are filtered to the correct teams in GTSD. Ensure that the technical support queries are answered by GTSD in a timely manner. Ensure that the Salesperson understands the technical resolution.
- Daily gratis and docutechs loading and administration: Assist the Sales team with daily gratis and docutech loading and administration.
- Gratis end-to-end administration: Daily samples requests loading. Follow up and returns (courier management and follow up). Creating receipting PO, writing out waybill, packing box and tracking parcel. Raising of nonstock POs for courier parcel when other gratis. Docutech and ad hoc parcel administration tasks
- E-vendor query support and internal communication management.
- General: Assist the Head of Sales Enablement and team with general business critical tasks and periods.
