    Visual Merchandise Manager

    Job Description    

    • We are seeking a Visual Merchandise Manager to strategically develop and implement the design and visual aesthetic of all stores for a leading Ladies wear brand.  This role is crucial for maximising in-store merchandise appeal and communication through practical layout, research and development, point-of-sale specifications, and merchandising techniques.
    • This position is based at our Pepkor Speciality Office in Bellville, Cape Town and will report to the  Head of Marketing of the brand. The position will require frequent commuting to Durban to support the existing Marketing team. 

    Qualifications    

    • Diploma in Fashion or Retail Management.

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience    

    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience at a management level in VM/Design role, which specifically includes responsibility for the formulation and execution of the VM strategy, strong customer relations and branding knowledge as well as exposure to retail.
    • Expert experience in VM and Design best practices, global merchandising or VM trends as well an excellent grasp of branding, store design and customer behavior.
    • Proven experience in the leadership role of a team.
    • Sound knowledge of the business environment, the relevant role players within the business and their key responsibilities and outcomes.
    • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
    • Excellent language skills, verbal and written in English are required.
    • A valid Driver’s license is essential (this position will require travel).
    • An inherent requirement for this position is travel and therefore the successful candidate will need to manage their ongoing travel requirements.

    Key Responsibilities    

    • Enhance store experience through visual merchandise
    • Manage and amend store Layouts as received for each store layout plan.
    • Develop Seasonal look for windows and each department within the store.
    • Create Flight Plans for each store which details the required information.
    • Provide Category Management Support.
    • Maintain Relationships with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective and timeous execution.
    • Assist in conducting training for all stores to execute VM principles.
    • Plan seasonal workshops with Operations.

    Job Description    

    • An exciting and challenging opportunity has become available for an Area Sales Manager within the Tekkie Town Operations team, a division of Pepkor Speciality. This role will report directly to the Divisional Manager. Our ideal candidate should be based in Mokopane and will be managing the operations of a C-Grid Area.
