    Communication Cluster Manager East

    Ensure implementation of the global Corporate Affairs strategy in each country in the cluster they are responsible for and provide strategic counsel and guidance to the Country GM and leadership across the cluster.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support GMs of countries in their cluster through provision of country specific counsel regarding media relations, Government relations, stakeholder relations and ensure digital / internal affairs content produced centrally is adapted and reaches in country audiences
    • Draw on either regional expertise, in country expertise or agency support for specific issues which arise in the countries they are responsible for
    • Apply best practice Corporate Affairs procedures and ensure corporate affairs plans are delivered on the within markets
    • Feed back issues, risks and opportunities to the Corporate Affairs Managers
    • Develop leadership team positioning programme for the GMs in their cluster counties
    • Monitor media and government developments in the countries they are responsible for an escalate issues to regional or global corporate affairs as appropriate
    • One of the roles in the ‘East region’ will have responsibility for MEAP issues (which will depend on skillset)
    • First line ‘Local’ crisis communications management

    Experience:

    • 5 to 10 years’ experience in a corporate affairs role including experience of Employee Communications &
    • Engagement Branding & Marketing would be an asset.
    • Experience in global organisations operating in Africa / Asia and emerging markets /

    Skills:

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

    Corporate Affairs Manager B2B (East)

    Corporate Affairs specialist responsible for support to the relevant line of business and (until Jan 2022) across
    the East region including the provision of counsel to the regional lead (Eghosa) and LOB leads on:
    Government & stakeholder relations, media relations (proactive and reactive), thought-leadership, ensuring effective digital output and employee engagement communication on specific LOB issues, such as Business cascade. Act as Corporate Affairs point of contact for B2B and Infrastructure and Future Energies leads

    • Coordinate the response to regional and LOB issues and crises. Identify and track country-issues and identify

    • Develop positioning programme for the regional and LOB leadership (speeches, thought-leadership etc)

    • Gather stories and examples from across the region and LOBs to feed into global corporate affairs plan and
    • support the group narrative
    • Support and co-ordinate Corporate Affairs contribution to relevant trade events

    Cluster Marketing Implementer Manager (Campaign)

    Works in partnership with and manages the implementation of all brand and marketing campaigns for respective clusters within Retail COE, Corporate Affairs, Brand & Marketing Teams in support of Lines of business – Commercial, Retail, Lubricants, Aviation and Future Energies across markets of choice. Ensures that campaigns are creative, innovative and relevant in the markets, based on strong insights and experience.
    Ensures that the campaign impact is quantifiable and influences the business case positively.

    Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:

    • Co-ordinate with other teams e.g. Corp Affairs for implementation of specific campaigns e.g. Road safety, social channels on issues & crisis, corporate campaigns etc.
    • Work closely with the business and marketing teams across the markets (Clusters of markets) to ensure;
    • All marketing initiatives are incorporated in the 5 year plans and budgets for each priority market
    • Implementation of key Global Marketing projects working in partnership with B2C Retail and B2B Commercial / Lubricants Marketing leads to support delivery e.g. service differentiation, Global Marketing portal, B2B Lubricants
    • Day to day Marketing support for business leaders in support of annual plans – business as usual and new projects.
    • Manage the country specific / cluster relationships with agencies (marketing) and ensure projects are delivered on scope and within budgets for tailoring of key messages and campaigns for local marketing activation e.g. Loyalty, Retail Fuels CVP projects
    • Ensure alignment of initiatives and business cases at local level
    • Support Global Implementation Manager in post investment reviews of key marketing initiatives, capturing learnings for continuous improvement
