    Pre-Sales Engineer-Payroll

    Job Description    

    • The role is intended developing technical solutions to business problems in the HR & Payroll sector. The role’s primary objective is in helping both current and prospective customers conceptualise solutions to business challenges. The process entails analysing and recording challenges, conceptualizing solutions based on the Sage suite of solutions and presenting the proposed solutions back to customers and stakeholders. The role will include product demonstrations, as well as building “Proof of Concepts”. The role could entail travelling to customers throughout Africa.

    Key Responsibilities  

    •  Key accountabilities and decision ownership: (8 or 10 max)
    •  To attend meetings with potential Clients to determine technical and business requirements and ensuring that all necessary information is collated prior to producing a solution
    •  Conceptualize and build solutions within Sage 300 People and supporting software to address customers’ requirements
    •  Provide technical solutions in a professional manner and to agreed timeframes
    •  Create and confidently deliver technical presentations internally and externally
    •  Deliver training on solutions and provide product support to channel partners and internal stakeholders
    •  Create internal design configuration documentation including technical explanations and PowerPoint presentations
    •  Work with Product Marketing, Product Management and Product Engineering to provide feedback on issues with current product and provide input around new features
    •  Builds productive relationships internally and externally, fostering teamwork by keeping colleagues updated on activities
    •  Perform technical development for bespoke solutions as part of a design and development frame work
    •  Able to understand business drivers and risks involved to the customer and to Sage
    •  Sell technical solutions to the customer with professionalism and enthusiasm
    •  Provide accurate and timely management information, to include - activity reports, bid reviews, project forecasts, KPI’s
    •  Adhere to the Company’s Quality and Business Processes

    Sales Account Executive

    Job Description    

    • The Sales Account Executive will be responsible for selling our native cloud financial management solution, Sage Intacct, in collaboration with our channel. This person will work closely with the solution consulting team who will act as the product specialists during the sales cycle. Sales are nationwide and not limited to the location of the Sales Account Executive although it is advised that the incumbent is located in one of the main Sage regions within South Africa.

    Key Responsibilities    

    • Build a pipeline of sales opportunities with the Sage Intacct channel across South Africa
    •  Developing and growing the sales opportunity pipeline while improving efficiency and keeping the channel energized and motivated during this process.
    •  Focus on generating new business – self generated sales opportunities for Sage to grow the market share.
    •  Identify major opportunities within channel partners and co-ordinate Sage Intacct activities through pre-sales/solution consultants etc to grow our brand
    •  On-site and virtual demonstrations of the solution in close collaboration with the channel and solution consulting team
    •  Achieve mutually agreed upon sales quota
    •  Manage and close Sage Intacct sales opportunities through partner account strategy, forecasting, account resource allocation and planning
    •  Initiate joint business planning and marketing plans with partners including individual responsibility for a sales objective.
    •  Establish a vertical / industry focus with the rest of the sales and solution consultant teams
    •  Identify market place partners to collaborate with and build out the product offering
    •  Maintain in-depth knowledge of Sage Intacct and keeping up to date with industry trends, technology and competitors
