    Regional Sales Manager -WC

    Why do we need you ?

    • Conduct comprehensive market analysis to create a strategic blueprint, setting annual sales plans and budgets to achieve revenue targets in the Western Cape region.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners, ensuring sustainable growth and high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Lead and develop the regional sales team, promoting a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Continuously gather insights on competitors, market trends, and customer feedback to adjust strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
    • Ensure sales targets and profitability goals are met or exceeded by motivating the team and optimizing resource allocation.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and company policies, promoting a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including suppliers and contractors, to provide a cohesive service and product offering.
    • Accountable for demand forecast for the technical division
    • Provide regular updates and reports to the National Construction Sales Manager on sales performance, forecasts, and key developments in the region.

    Is this job for you ?

    • The ideal candidate should hold a BCom, Bsc in Construction, Civil Engineering, BEng/BTech Eng or a related field.
    • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a construction or specifications role, including at least 3 years in team management. Proficiency in SAP, QlikView, and CRM systems is highly advantageous, along with essential Excel skills and a broad knowledge of waterproofing, concrete repair, and flooring products.
    • The ideal candidate must be a system driven with strong negotiation and persuasion skills. Ability to collaborate with different stakeholders at all levels.
    • The ideal candidate must have strong administrative /reporting skills. Tertiary studies/certificate in concrete or flooring technologies will set you apart.

    • Drive the Technical Mortars and Chemicals portfolio on regional sales growth by developing annual plans to generate a new customer base, retain key customers, and lead the sales team to grow the existing sales budgets for the region.
    • This includes driving sales across technical markets, specialist distributors, and sub-contractors, coaching and directing the available sales resources to achieve or exceed the region's objectives and profitability targets.

    Millwright

    Why do we need you ?

    • Develop works instructions through own and subordinates’ input to standardize tasks spare requirements following the WCM guidelines.
    • Attending to plant electrical and mechanical breakdowns
    • Ensuring that work is conducted in accordance with the safety regulations.
    • Project work according to WCM requirements.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and detailed repair drawings related to equipment and machine

    • Improve long term viability through innovative use of technology \ Lead, coach and develop self and apprentices in training in order to increase their capability, commitment, drive and performance output so that the organization reaches its objectives, executes its strategies and progresses towards its vision.

    Is this job for you ?

    • The ideal candidate must have a Diploma in Engineering or a minimum of an N3 engineering qualification and must possess a Millwright Trade.
    • This role requires someone who has at least five years’ relevant experience within manufacturing / plant environment.

    • The purpose of the role would be to effectively and efficiently install, maintain, upgrade and fabricate machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in Germiston Plasters in line with the relevant WCM principles; Maintenance and upholding all applicable legislation.
    • The candidate must be able to understand PLC I/Os to assist in fault finding as well as Siemens, Danfoss and ABB variable speed drive experience.
    • This role will also ensure no repeat failures on equipment as the candidate will need to conduct proper root cause analysis on equipment failures.

    • Purchase goods and services at the right quality, quantity, time, price and sources to maximize value for Saint-Gobain.
    • Manage capable and secure supply base to delivery business needs through best procurement practices.
    • Deliver successful projects where nominated as the project leader or project member.
    • Use SAP MRP data and internal customer input to place, expedite and reconcile purchase orders.
    • Resolve all supplier payments issues and blocked invoices queries (Parked List).
    • Support Saint-Gobain’s common goals and vision by working with local and global team members, cross functional teams, other departments and functions to deliver on commitments.
    • Adhere to all Saint-Gobain’s policies and procedures and proactively educate the business on purchasing procedures and systems.
    • Update the budget, sourcing portfolio, spend, supply planning and KPI files on a weekly basis.
    • Highlight any supply risk identified to the business.
    • Log and resolve claims logged against suppliers.
    • All such duties and/or activities assigned by management/board as and when required

    Is this job for you ?

    • This role requires an individual with a 3 year BCom Degree / Diploma, SAPICS / CIPS Certification advantageous .
    • Min 3 years in in a strategic sourcing or procurement related role.
    • Your Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximising the effective manufacture and distribution of products will ensure success in this role .
    • Ability to communicate and collaborate with different stakeholder. The ideal candidate must have analytical and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to work on multiple projects will set you apart and knowledge of administration and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, production methods and coordination of people and resources wills set you apart.

    • The position entails to acquire the best product at the best price from suppliers and to ensure the availability, control and purchase of raw material and consumables as needed by production.
