    Financial Accountant

    • Established company within the Construction and Infrastructure sector is seeking a Financial Accountant with a BCom Accounting / BCom Financial Management or equivalent qualification, coupled with 3–5 years' financial accounting experience, to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial processing, reconciliations, statutory compliance, reporting, and the supervision of junior finance staff.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervise, mentor and support Finance Administration staff
    • Review financial transactions, journals, invoices and reconciliations for accuracy and completeness
    • Process month-end and year-end journals, accruals and provisions
    • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial records
    • Perform and review bank, balance sheet, VAT, payroll and intercompany reconciliations
    • Ensure source documentation is accurately maintained and audit-ready
    • Prepare and submit statutory returns including VAT, PAYE, UIF and SDL
    • Assist with annual audits, tax submissions and financial statement preparation
    • Support monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis

    Requirements:

    • BCom Accounting, BCom Financial Management or equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
    • SAIPA, SAICA or CIMA membership / studies advantageous
    • Minimum 3–5 years' financial accounting experience
    • Hospitality or tourism industry experience highly advantageous
    • Strong knowledge of VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL and SARS e-Filing
    • Proficiency in  Xero, SAGE VIP Payroll and RIB BuildSmart with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
    • Sound understanding of IFRS / GAAP, financial accounting principles and internal controls
    • Proven ability to supervise and develop junior finance staff
    • High level of accuracy, integrity and attention to detail
    • Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities

    Accountant

    • Opportunity exists for an Accountant with a relevant Accounting or Finance Degree and completed articles to join a dynamic and fast-paced team. Candidates with experience in Sage 200 Evolution, SARS e-Filing and Sage Premier Payroll will be preferred.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare cash books, bank reconciliations, and process debtor and creditor transactions

    Export Controller
