    External Audit Manager (Insurance or Asset Wealth Management)

    Minimum Requirements

    • At least 6 years’ relevant external audit experience in public accounting
    • Fully qualified CA(SA), CPA, or international CPA equivalent
    • Big 4 experience is essential
    • Audit experience within Insurance or Asset Wealth Management sectors
    • No more than 2 years out of external audit

    Solid understanding of:

    • U.S. GAAP
    • PCAOB standards
    • Strong grasp of technical accounting and financial reporting standards relevant to Financial Services
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • Proactive, committed, and deadline-driven
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills

    Key Responsibilities

    As an Audit Manager, you may be responsible for:

    • Leading audits from planning through completion, including review and sign-off on key sections
    • Managing larger, more complex engagement teams, ensuring quality and client satisfaction
    • Supervising tasks, budgets, and team deliverables
    • Providing high-quality client service including planning, budgeting, and timely coordination of deliverables
    • Mentoring and monitoring team performance, reviewing work for quality and technical accuracy
    • Communicating confidently with stakeholders at all levels
    • Ensuring audits are conducted in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA)

    Experienced External Auditors - Onshore Opportunity (Insurance or Asset Wealth Management)

    Senior Minimum requirements:

    • ITC/Board 1 Pass - Non-negotiable
    • Fully Qualified ACA / ACCA / CPA
    • 4+ years of Public Accounting audit experience
    • Review and coaching of junior team members.
    • Audit and documentation of basic and complex audit sections.

    SIC Minimum requirements:

    • ITC/Board 1 Pass - Non-negotiable
    • Fully Qualified ACA / ACCA / CPA
    • 5+ years of Public Accounting audit experience
    • 2+ years of experience leading teams and managing audits, end to end.
    • Planning the budget and resources for audits.
    • Proven track record in reviewing and signing off on work papers.

    Manager Minimum requirements:

    • Fully Qualified CA(SA) / CA(Z) / ACA / ACCA / CPA
    • 6+ years of Public Accounting audit experience
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in leading teams and managing audits.
    • Supervision of the engagement team, tasks and budget.
    • Project management of audits from planning to completion, including review and sign-off on key audit sections

    Solid understanding of:

    • Strong grasp of technical accounting and financial reporting standards relevant to Financial Services

    Key Responsibilities

    Senior:

    • Provides timely, high-quality deliverables covering complex sections, with a reasonable number of workpaper comments. 
    • May facilitate fieldwork, coordinate deliverables from multiple team members. 
    • Demonstrates depth of knowledge of methodology, relevant standards, and systems and may collaborate with Manager to guide associates, interns and monitor productivity and workplan schedule 
    • Proactively addresses client concerns and escalates issues as they arise.  
    • Interacts with clients and engagement teams to help ensure the information flow from the client to the team is efficient. 

    SIC:

    • Provides timely, high-quality deliverables covering complex sections while overseeing fieldwork, coordinating deliverables from multiple team members.
    • Demonstrates a depth of knowledge of systems, methodology and can educate and redirect team members.
    • Leads the team through the engagement and prepares financial statements, related disclosures, and reportable conditions letters, focusing on quality and accuracy. 
    • Actively monitors productivity, budgets and ensures adherence to work plan schedule.  

    Manager:

    • Provides timely, high-quality client service, including planning, budgeting, and coordinating all client deliverables.  
    • Understands skill sets and capabilities of team members, monitors and reviews work produced to ensure quality and skill development.  
    • Capable of managing larger, more complex engagement teams, ensures client satisfaction and team morale.
    • Proactively and confidently communicates with all levels at the Firm and client.
