    Junior Graphic Designer

    About the Role:

    • If your happy place is somewhere between a colour swatch book and a perfectly folded box dieline, we’ve got the job for you. We’re looking for a passionate, imaginative Junior Graphic Designer who loves nothing more than bringing bold, beautiful packaging and in-store visuals to life.
    • From eye-catching posters to smart shelf-talkers and irresistible packaging, you’ll take concepts and run with them — creating artwork that looks just as good on the shelf as it does in your portfolio.
    • You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, high-output environment where every week brings something new — and always make sure the final product is as good as the idea that sparked it.

    Responsibilities:

    • Designing packaging, POS, flyers, posters, and catalogues that make people stop and stare (in the best way)
    • Developing concepts from scratch and seeing them through to print-ready perfection Working closely with DTP and production teams to ensure flawless handover to print
    • Collaborating with marketing, brand, and product teams to bring campaigns to life Managing multiple projects with confidence, clarity, and a well-organised artboard
    • Applying brand guidelines creatively and consistently across formats and product lines
    • Staying up to date with packaging, retail and design trends (because you’re that kind of person)

    Requirements

    • A relevant qualification (Graphic Design, Communication Design, or similar)
    • A polished portfolio that showcases packaging and POS work (and makes us go “ooh!”)
    • Excellent Adobe Creative Suite skills — especially Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
    • Solid understanding of print processes, packaging mechanics, and large-format specs
    • Exceptional layout skills and an eye for visual hierarchy, balance, and storytelling
    • Strong time management — you can handle fast turnarounds without dropping the ball
    • Bonus: experience with FMCG, retail, or high-volume catalogue production, no worries if you’re still learning, just show us you know what you're doing with a simple skill test.

    Administrator (Ecommerce/Online)

    Job Purpose:

    • The Administrator – Online Team will provide high-level administrative support to the online department, ensuring smooth coordination of daily operations, processes, and reporting. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in managing administrative duties within a fast-paced/digital or eCommerce environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Administrative Support:

    • Provide high-level admin support to the Online Team including eCommerce, digital marketing, and online sales functions.
    • Manage team calendars, schedule meetings, and prepare agendas and minutes.
    • Coordinate online team documents, reports, and files ensuring version control and accuracy.

    Operational Coordination:

    • Monitor and update key trackers, schedules, and process flows related to online promotions, campaigns, stock levels, and product listings.
    • Liaise with internal departments (e.g., warehouse, finance, design, IT) to ensure alignment on online activities.
    • Track and follow up on deliverables and tasks assigned across the team.

    Reporting & Data:

    • Pull weekly reports and assist with data entry, analysis, and preparation of presentations.
    • Ensure accuracy of product, pricing, and stock information for online listings.

    Process Improvement:

    • Identify gaps in administrative processes and suggest improvements to streamline operations.
    • Implement efficient digital filing and organizational systems.

    Communication & Liaison:

    • Act as the first point of contact for administrative queries within the Online Team.
    • Communicate with external vendors, suppliers, or service providers as needed.

    (SLA) Management:

    • Establish SLAs with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
    • Monitor SLA performance and take corrective actions as needed to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction.
    • Conduct regular SLA reviews and updates to align with business objectives.

    Key Requirements:

    • Proven experience in administration, SLA , or similar role, preferably in sales/online/retail.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Sound knowledge of administrative processes.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (beneficial).
    • Experience with administrative software and tools.

    • Follow up on outstanding deliverables and ensure deadlines are met across projects.

    Reporting & Data:

    • Support data entry, tracking of sample statuses, project milestones, and supplier feedback.
    • Help maintain accurate records of specifications, packaging details, and compliance documentation.

    Process Improvement:

    • Identify gaps or inefficiencies in current administrative processes and suggest improvements.
    • Help implement better filing systems (physical and digital) and process documentation practices.

    Communication & Liaison:

    • Act as the first point of contact for administrative queries within the Product Development department.
    • Communicate with external suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers regarding samples, timelines, and documentation.

    E-Commerce Key Account Manager

    • SMD Technologies is looking for a Key Accounts Manager to join our expanding furniture division. Unlock the growth of selling some of South Africa’s most beloved brands through various online platforms. He/she will maintain direct relationships with various buyers on these platforms, he/she will manage ongoing new revenue related projects together with the Category Key Accounts Managers to ensure the perfect proposition for our clients.
    • Delivering the online sales targets for various online eRetailer/ eCommerce platforms will be your main focus point.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage all online activity in relation to platform traffic acquisition, sales, conversion and reporting.
    • You develop and implement an eCommerce strategy to actively stimulate your accounts and prospects and translate the strategy into feasible operational tactics.
    • You analyse patterns in terms of development potential, profitability, sales revenues and you develop and implement necessary plans of action.
    • You build a sustainable relationship with existing account category buyers. 
    • Answering day-to-day client enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
    • You work closely together with internal departments such as supply chain, planning, all marketing teams and finance to ensure a perfect execution of the sales.
    • You analyse the results of the sales in depth to jointly develop new ways to optimize the performance of the accounts.
    • You support the development of e-Commerce and omni-channel strategies.
    • You can create & write SEO optimised product listings, track page performance and increase listing conversions.
    • You can conduct data analysis in order to deliver data driven strategies driving top performing product listings and achieve set KPIs.
    • Develop promotional calendars for all your platforms and categories.

    Requirements:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both face to face and through remote communication.
    • Proactive, flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
    • Hands-on mentality, not afraid to tackle administrative tasks in order to develop your accounts.
    • Able to work under pressure.

    Qualifications/Experience:

    • At least 1-2 years of experience in eCommerce or a similar role.
    • Have strong Analytical skills with good knowledge of Excel.
    • Knowledge of attribution modelling, Conversion Copy Writing, Buyer Journey, Traffic Analysis and reporting tools (advantageous).
    • You are enthusiastic, take initiative and have perseverance.
    • You are a team player with good social and communication skills.
