    Group Internal Communications Manager (Sandton)

    Description

    • The Group Internal Communications Manager is responsible and accountable for delivering strategic, relevant and engaging communications that support the Sun International Group’s business and people agenda.
    • This includes developing and executing internal communication plans, creating tailored content to connect with a diverse workforce and collaborating with key departments such as Marketing and Investor Relations to embed the company’s strategy and values.
    • The role requires a strong grasp of workforce sentiment, cultural awareness and a focus on inclusion to ensure communications resonate across all levels and remain aligned with the evolving needs of the business.

    Key Performance Outcomes

    • Partner with leadership and Business Unit management to understand and cascade key business and people strategies across the organisation
    • Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans, including detailed workplans to support implementation at both Group and unit level
    • Create and manage tailored content across multiple channels (newsletters, intranet, email, announcements etc) to engage diverse audiences effectively
    • Select and oversee communication channels and internal collateral (videos, branding, digital tools) to support the Employer Brand and ensure message reach
    • Coordinate content delivery and communication efforts with internal stakeholders at Group and unit levels
    • Manage communication resources, including budgets and external suppliers, to ensure efficient execution
    • Monitor, measure and report on the impact and effectiveness of communication initiatives using data and feedback

    • Lead internal communication during organisational changes and crisis situations, ensuring clarity, accuracy and engagement

    Promotions Co-Ordinator (Cape Town)

    Description

    • Job Purpose Responsible for the planning, co-ordination and implementation of as well as the planning, conceptualisation and rollout of promotions, and activations across the complex in order to drive unit revenue and create a public image and reputation for the business unit’s brand as the entertainment and casino establishment of choice.

    Key Performance Areas

    Promotions Coordination

    • Have an up-to-date understanding of facilities and products available within the business unit
    • Have a good understanding of gaming systems and bonusing tools to execute promotions
    • Conduct segmentation analyses of active members, their visitation status, spend, etc.
    • Extract data from the system to obtain sufficient information for analysis to be used in the compiling of accurate briefs
    • Make recommendations with regards customer-focused solutions and promotions relevant to customer preferences to activate and retain targeted customers
    • Implement, test and use control groups to measure reinvestment segmentation profiles.
    • Update the promotions calendar and distribute to relevant stakeholders
    • Implement and deliver customer communications utilising a range of communication channels as part of the delivering the promotion
    • Project manage the planning and delivery of promotions including schedules and actions of all tasks related to the execution of the promotion
    • Co-ordinate innovative solutions and plans to target new markets and opportunities
    • Compile comprehensive communication plan to brief all stakeholders with the detail of the promotions and/or event
    • Design and distribute promotional collateral to maximise promotion exposure to relevant markets
    • Source and co-ordinate promotional gifting in line with events requirements and themes

    Delivered Promotions

    • Plan, co-ordinate and host promotional events and activations
    • Co-ordinate the set-up of promotional events, ensuring all aspects of the event come to together
    • Communicate regularly with relevant stakeholders and inform relevant departments of potential problems, changes, and additions to technical resources
    • Handle conflict and provide solutions regarding any event logistics and operational functions until resolution
    • Escalate any issues / challenges being experienced
    • Analyse and report on the effectiveness of every promotion - continuous learning and improvement on outcomes
    • Complete post promotion administration including: promotion information documents
    • Provide input and complete reports with monthly comparisons and past promotions (month-end reports), promotion debriefs (post promotion reports); return on investment reports

    Stakeholder Engagement

    • Co-ordinate and consolidate content from the various marketing and other functional areas with regards the development and delivery of internal communication messaging around promotions to all staff to ensure cohesive messaging aligned to corporate brand and corporate culture.
    • Meet with functional managers to understand briefs for promotional requirements.
    • Co-ordinate promotions / functions between multiple departments
    • Liaise with management to evaluate the post-mortem of the campaign.

    Requirements

    Education

    • Matric
    • 2 year Diploma in Marketing

    Experience

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in marketing
    • Exposure in the gaming industry is preferred.

    Commis Chef (Cape Town)

    Description

    Job Purpose

    • Responsible for the food preparation and presentation of exceptional culinary products for the restaurant / banqueting / hotel operations according to Sun International’s operational excellence standards, procedural compliance and customer experience expectations.

    Key Performance Areas

    Duties and responsibilities include

    Food Preparation

    • Keep up to date with regards food products, trends and cooking methodologies required to deliver menus
    • Prepare mise-en-place, conduct checks and preparations for service in line with SOP
    • Support Chef de Partie in the daily operation and preparation of food / menu items according to recipe guidelines and preparation techniques – including preparation of vegetables, sauces, salads, cold starters; and hot dishes
    • Control food stock and food cost in own section by minimising waste and off-cuts
    • Check food stocks - reporting on shortages, throwing out food that is close to expiry and keep the fridge areas in good order.
    • Resolve or report on any anomalies / spoilages to the required standards to management chefs

    Culinary Governance Standards

    • Arrive at work ready for service dressed in relevant PPE with culinary tools / knives
    • Identify issues with regards own work station appearance and functioning of equipment and systems
    • Check cleanliness of own section or station
    • Be aware of and comply with health, safety, hygiene and environmental regulations in the outlets

    Customer Engagement

    Requirements

    • 1-Year Culinary Certification or equivalent national qualification in culinary skills at Certificate level
    • Membership with South African Chef’s Association and other relevant culinary accreditation, an advantage
