Geography & Map Expert (AI Community)

    About the job

    • Do you have a degree in Geography or Urban Planning? AI models power the maps we use every day for delivery and travel, but they often struggle to understand the real world. At TELUS Digital, we are looking for Geography enthusiasts to be the "eyes on the ground" for our AI. You will look at satellite images and maps to make sure the AI is identifying roads, buildings, and landmarks correctly. You help the AI understand exactly where things are.

    What You’ll Do (Simple Tasks):

    • Confirming Landmarks: Look at a photo from space and tell the AI: "Yes, that is a hospital," or "No, that is actually a shopping mall."
    • Route Checking: Look at a map and make sure the AI isn't suggesting a route that is impossible (like driving a car through a park or a walking path).
    • Naming Places: Use your local knowledge to make sure the AI is using the correct names for neighborhoods, streets, and natural features in your region.
    • Environmental Tagging: Help the AI identify things like forests, rivers, or new construction sites on a map.

    Qualification path

    Mandatory Qualifications:

    • Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Urban Planning, or Environmental Science.
    • Native Language: Native-level proficiency in your primary language. You know your local area better than any global map does.
    • English Proficiency: Basic (B1) English to communicate with our project team.
    • Visual Accuracy: You are good at reading maps and recognizing shapes and patterns in satellite photos.

    Business Logic Expert (AI Community)

    About the Role:

    • AI models often sound like smart students, but they lack "real-world" business experience. As a Business Logic Expert, your job is to teach the AI how a real company works. You will review AI-generated business emails, reports, and strategies to make sure they aren't just grammatically correct, but professionally sound. You are the "Business Mentor" for the AI.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Professional Tone Review: Check if an AI-generated email to a client sounds professional, polite, and persuasive, rather than robotic or rude.
    • Business Fact-Checking: If the AI suggests a marketing plan or a budget, you make sure the math is right and the advice follows standard business rules.
    • Process Training: Teach the AI how to handle common office tasks, like summarizing a meeting, drafting an invoice, or creating a project timeline.
    • Ethics & Etiquette: Ensure the AI understands "Business Etiquette" for your specific region (e.g., how to address a CEO in Riyadh vs. a Startup Founder in New York).

    Qualification path

    Mandatory Qualifications:

    • Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance.
    • Native Language: Native-level proficiency in your primary language. You need to know how people actually talk in business in your country.
    • English Proficiency: B1 (Intermediate) English to follow global project guidelines.
    • Experience: 1–2 years of working in an office environment (even as an intern) is a huge plus.

AI Safety & Policy Associate - Intermediate (AI Community)

    About the job

    • At TELUS Digital, we believe that safety is a continuous process, not a one-time check. As an AI Safety & Policy Associate, you are the primary guardian of our AI training datasets. You will join our AI Community as a specialist dedicated to identifying, labeling, and mitigating risks at the data level. While our Strategists design the rules, you are the one who applies them to thousands of complex scenarios to ensure the model learns what is right, what is wrong, and what is a "gray area." At TELUS, your daily work directly prevents harmful AI behaviors before they ever reach a user.

    What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities):

    • Safety Annotation: Evaluate AI-generated responses against strict safety rubrics, flagging content that contains bias, misinformation, or prohibited topics.
    • Harmful Content Classification: Categorize various types of "harm" (e.g., hate speech, self-harm, or illegal acts) to help the model understand specific boundary lines.
    • Fact-Checking & Grounding: Verify the factual accuracy of model claims using reliable external sources to prevent "hallucinations."
    • Guideline Application: Apply complex policy documents to "edge cases"—scenarios where the answer isn't clearly right or wrong—to ensure consistent model alignment.
    • Feedback Loop Participation: Report recurring model weaknesses to the Governance Leads to help refine and update our global safety policies.

    Qualification path

    What You Bring (Mandatory Qualifications):

    • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in any field. (Preferred: Humanities, Social Sciences, Communications, or Law).
    • Native Language: Native-level proficiency in your primary language is mandatory. You must understand the cultural "slang" and subtle context that signifies harm in your region.
    • English Proficiency: Minimum B1 (Intermediate) level English to follow community guidelines and log safety reports.
    • Detail Orientation: An exceptional ability to spot small errors and remain focused during repetitive, high-stakes analysis.
