    Assistant Manager National External Affairs

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

    • Support the execution of the company’s external affairs strategy, including tracking key political developments, preparing briefing materials for senior management, and managing stakeholder relationships.
    • Assist in developing and maintaining robust internal and external stakeholder networks to bolster the external affairs function.
    • Mapping stakeholder groups concerning issues impacting TSAM business sector.
    • Supporting the implementation of related programs and policies as needed.
    • In facilitating intelligence gathering for engagement and decision-making purposes.
    • Engage with external stakeholders (government entities, academic institutions, NGOs, and other relevant parties) for information exchange and relationship building.
    • Coordinate project activities involving internal and external stakeholders.
    • Actively participate in industry events to gather insights and share information relevant to the business.
    • Plan and organize quarterly stakeholder meetings.
    • Manage and coordinate industry surveys.
    • Oversee the preparation of the sustainability report, with a focus on ESG initiatives.
    • Coordinate plant tours and other industry-related events.
    • Process departmental invoices efficiently.

     QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • NQF 5 level qualification (240 credits - level 8 framework) in related field
    • 2-3 years’ experience after internship / graduate / entry level position
    • Automotive industry knowledge and experience in external or public affairs
    • PC literacy (MS Office Advanced)

    • Strong attention to detail, a diligent approach and excellent project management skills.
    • The ability to engage with the company’s senior leadership and their support teams.
    • Some experience in a political, public policy or public affairs environment
    • Good writing and analytical skills, and the ability to write both strategically and creatively under tight deadlines.

    Contractor Manager Marketing Fleet (1 Year Contract)

    Reporting to a Senior Manager of Gazoo Racing Fleet & Sustainability, this position is responsible to oversee, manage, and optimise the organisation’s vehicle fleet of approximately 200 vehicles. The incumbent is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective fleet management systems and processes that support operational efficiency, cost optimisation, and regulatory compliance. The role further exists to manage fleet-related projects and lead a small team, ensuring effective coordination, strategic planning, and continuous improvement across all fleet operations in line with organisational objectives.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

    • Fleet operations management – ensuring efficient, reliable fleet performance through effective systems, controls, and monitoring
    • Project management and continuous improvement – planning and delivery of fleet projects to enhance operational efficiency and service outcomes
    • Financial management and cost control – budget oversight, cost optimisation, and value-for-money initiatives
    • Compliance, risk, and governance – legislative adherence, policy compliance, and proactive risk management
    • Maintenance and asset lifecycle management – vehicle maintenance oversight, asset utilisation, and lifecycle optimisation
    • Leadership and people management – team leadership, performance management, and capability development
    • Stakeholder engagement and communication – internal and external relationship management and coordinated fleet support
    • Data analysis and reporting – fleet data utilisation, performance reporting, and decision support

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • NQF Level 6 (360 credits - 8 level framework) qualification in Logistics, Business Administration, Transport Management, or a related field
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet management or logistics
    • Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP or Prince2) and advanced training in fleet operations or transport logistics will be advantageous
    • Proven track record of managing medium to large vehicle fleets and  experience leading a team and managing cross-functional projects will be advantageous
