Requirements

• Grade 12/NQF4

Possession of a relevant welder qualification

• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Strong mechanical and electrical experience in both fields is essential

• Willing to undergo training towards qualification

Job Description

• The successful incumbent will be responsible for assisting a qualified artisan with the day-to-day duties in a particular trade and will have sufficient relevant experience to perform the assistant work required.

Job requirements

• Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent.
• N2 Mechanical Engineering Qualification will be advantageous.
• 2 Years’ experience in a similar position in a chicken abattoir will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of spiral freezers, conveyor systems, saxon sealers and ice packs will be advantageous.
• Forklift licence will be an advantage.
• A willingness to work shifts and overtime, incl. weekends and holidays where necessary.

Duties and responsibilities

• Will be the assistance to the Artisan with duties as may be assigned by the Artisan.
• Will assist the Artisan with work on spiral freezers, conveyor systems, saxon sealers and ice packs.
• Will be responsible for maintaining, cleaning, and sorting of the workshop.
• Must be available on weekends for maintenance work.
