    Human Capital Manager - Northern Cape Area, GWK Head Office Douglas

    As Human Capital Manager, you will be at the heart of our mission to build a sustainable, diverse, and high-performance workforce. You will drive our people strategy, work closely with leadership, and ensure that every individual at Farm Foods is empowered to reach their full potential.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Talent Acquisition & Development: In collaboration with the Talent Acquisition Team, lead the recruitment process aligned with seasonal demands 
    • Employee Engagement & Culture: Build a vibrant company culture that inspires collaboration, creativity, and excellence. 
    • Performance Management: Establish performance metrics, coach leaders on effective feedback practices, and drive a culture of accountability while supporting employees in their development journeys.
    • Strategic Workforce Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to anticipate and address future workforce needs, making sure we have the right people, in the right roles, at the right time.
    • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with local and national labor laws, and create policies that promote a safe, fair, and inclusive working environment. Develop and implement HR strategies that support productivity and compliance with labour laws (including BCEA, OHSA, and LRA)
    • HR Analytics & Reporting: Use data and insights to continuously improve our human capital strategy and make informed, evidence-based decisions.
    • Lead all Human Capital (HC) operations across multiple agricultural sites
    • Partner with leadership to shape organizational development and succession planning

    What We’re Looking For:

    To succeed in this role, you’ll need more than just HR expertise—you’ll need a strategic mindset, a passion for leadership, and a drive to make a difference. Here’s what we’re looking for:

    • Experience: A proven track record in HR management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in an agriculture industry.
    • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related fields 

    Skills & Expertise:

    • Strong understanding of South African labour laws and HR best practices
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proven leadership in a multi-site, diverse workforce environment
    • Expertise in HR systems and analytics, with the ability to leverage data for informed decision-making.
    • Experience in change management, conflict resolution, and leadership development.
    • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with an ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs.
    • Willingness to be based in and travel regularly within the Northern Cape

    Job Description

    • The ideal team players will be responsible to sell the organisation's merchandise according to agreed targets. Effectively displays the entire range of stock on hand and maintains the housekeeping of the stock and fittings. Administers and controls all cash and card transactions handled at the shop. 

    Requirements

    • Mathematics is a requirement
    • Grade 12 or NQF 4
    • Previous experience in sales of parts is essential
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Orientation towards marketing and client service
    • Clear criminal record

    Duties And Responsibilities

    • Meet sales targets (commission structure is applicable)
    • Stock control to minimize out-of-stock situations
    • Order stock according to movement and customer needs
    • Acquisition of parts that are not readily available or scarce, in due time
    • Marketing of parts and workshop
    • Willing to undergo continuous training
    • Other ad-hoc job related duties

    General Worker - VKB Mechanization, Bethlehem

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • The ideal candidates will be responsible to perform general tasks in a workshop environment, requiring the briefest induction

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12 or NQF4 compulsory
    • Code EB drivers licence compulsory
    • Load and offload of stock 
    • Responsible to keep premises and building clean and excellent condition
    • Stock control 
    • Client service 
    • Able to perform hard manual labour, including but not limited to moving of heavy equipment 
    • Constantly adding value to the function of the job
    • Previous experience in a tractor workshop environment will be a definite advantage

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for general tidiness 
    • Cleaning duties 
    • Ad hoc duties as assigned from time to time 
    • Assist customers/suppliers with loading and offloading of stock as required according to policies and procedures 
    • General housekeeping of premises and building
    • Customer services
    • Workshop related duties including but not limited to assisting the workshop mechanic with any tasks as required

    • Service orientation 
    • Accurate, thorough and precise 
    • Excellent health
