Key Performance Areas:

• Create measuring programme from customer supply measuring data (MESS-PLAN) and convert data received CNC measuring programme for DEA measuring machine
• Conduct dimensional measuring control on parts (ISIR, capability studies, product audits and FMK’s
• Ensure that maintenance of measuring machine is conducted as per requirements
• Ensure that work practises comply with the company SHE procedures and works instructions.

Knowledge and Skills required:

• Quality systems
• Measuring equipment (Zeiss Eagle Eye machine experience will add an advantage)
• 3D software
• Communication

Minimum Requirements

• NQF Level 4 / Grade 12
• Toolmaker trade / Metrology certificate
• Extensive part measurements experience in Metrology with tactile machine
• Min 2 years in the sheet metal industry for Metrology CMM and report analysis
• Experience with PiWeb measurement and Zeiss machine as an added advantage.

• PLC Programming (Siemens S5, S7, Festo, Omron)
• CNC (Indramat, Fidia, Fanuc)
• Robotics (Kuka, ABB, Motoman, Phillips, AEC)
• AC/DC/Servo Drives experience
• Industrial communications networks
• Fault finding and Press machinery repair
• Manufacturing processes
• Basic understanding of quality systems
• SCADA/HMI experience (Win CC, Wounderware Intouch, Xenon, Wincatext, Win Flex)

Minimum Requirements:

• N6 / National Diploma with 5-10 years’ experience in automation/instrumentation field within the automotive environment
• T3/S4 Diploma will be an advantage
• 5 years as a technician in the electrical field, especially in automation (hydraulics and general maintenance/projects)
