    Trainee - Proposals Support

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Work closely with the Minerals Sales organization and Business Lines to manage all simple and complex commercial tenders to meet RFQ requirements
    • Manage administrative tasks such as data entry, report writing, and proposal generation
    • Ensure that the proposals follow Metso Musts, Proposal Management and Minerals Sales processes
    • Ensure all deliverables are met
    • Review and compile deviations to tender and liaise with Legal, Commercial and Technical experts where required
    • Support the Business Lines in the preparation of firm proposals
    • Support with client contract negotiations when required
    • Provide commercial support to enhance project profitability and margins
    • Ensure quality handover documents for implementation
    • Ensure priorities of the RFQ register are agreed with Minerals Sales organization

    WHO YOU ARE

    • Matric (Grade 12)
    • BSc or BTech Degree in Mineral Process Engineering and Extractive Metallurgy is a must
    • Relevant coursework or projects in mineral processing technology or heavy machinery is a plus

    Internship or Practical Experience (Optional but Beneficial):

    • Prior internships, co-op programs, or hands-on experience in manufacturing, mining, or heavy equipment industries

    Certifications (Optional but Beneficial):

    • Certifications in project management
    • Safety certifications

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to work in industrial environments, including exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery
    • Willingness to travel to project sites or client locations as needed

    Test Engineer - Concorde Flotation

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Grow the Concorde Flotation technology installed base in Metso’s Market Area Africa
    • Regularly meet our customers and present Concorde technology, its’ capabilities and business value (customer facing expectation, +50% of the time)
    • Propose and lead metallurgical trials on-site, proving the value of Concorde to our customers
    • Identify and develop new opportunities for Concorde in the African market
    • Participate in international conferences, representing Metso flotation technologies
    • Support strategic business development activities related to the go-to market strategy for Concorde
    • Act as the key link between Metso’s African and Global support teams
    • Build a strong network of both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that African deployment of Concorde matches the expectations of our customers

    WHO YOU ARE

    • Matric (Grade 12)
    • You have a Metallurgical or relevant engineering degree, with previous exposure to minerals processing separation technologies
    • Several years’ experience working on-site in industrial operations, or direct customer facing technical roles
    • A growth mindset, curious to learn more and contribute to the success of the team whilst ensuring that our customers always come first
    • Ability to plan and lead critical metallurgical trials on laboratory, pilot and industrial scale
    • Excellent computer literacy, organizational, interpersonal, and reporting skills – willingness to support the development of technical, sales, commercial, and business development activities within Metso’s Separation technology team
    • Good presentation and facilitation skills – ability to represent Metso on an international stage
    • You are flexible in your approach to work, and have the ability to travel nationally, internationally and globally as required
    • Working in a truly global company, you can navigate various stakeholders with ease and collaborate across diverse cultures and environments

    Specialist, Separation

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Lead a global Installation & Commissioning Support team and its competence management
    • Build, organize and provide superior technical expertise and resources in the area of installation and commissioning of Metso equipment
    • Prepare and review installation & commissioning plans and resource scheduling in conjunction with our global field service planner and in support of the Project Manager and Market Area Field Services
    • Interface for project delivery manager and customer during installation and commissioning activities
    • Management and execution of agreed project installation & commissioning scope in support of Project Manager
    • Provide customer feedback to Project Management (technical and commercial), Business Line, Project Implementation, Product Group, Market Area and other stakeholders
    • Active participation in technical claim handling (when applicable)
    • Contribute to continuous improvement feedback loop with Project Delivery and Technical Support
    • Provide input for improvement of engineering design to enhance efficiencies in assembly, installation and commissioning activities
    • Oversee capacity management and cross BU/BL/PG project tracking to systematically capture new project requirements and overall project tracking through system tools as may be available and developed, providing transparency to all stakeholders
    • Ensure compliance with all Metso QEHS rules and regulations as well as customer and local QEHS legislation as may be appropriate. Perform periodic site safety audits
    • Ensure proper fulfilment of reporting requirements (e.g. site reports, time sheets, ITP’s, leads, technical correctness, recommendations, NCRs, safety notifications etc.)
    • Ensure an active and thorough level of communication is continuous and consistent between site, Project Manager, Business Line, Product Group and Market Area
    • Utilize existing tools and processes to ensure coordinated interface
    • Actively participate in training plans, training delivery and mentoring of Metso personnel 

    WHO YOU ARE

    • Matric (Grade 12)
    • BSc degree or equivalent experience
    • Minimum 10 years of experience working with Separation and Hydrometallurgical related equipment technologies
