    Triton Express: Customer Services (Cross Border)

    RESPONSIBILTIES:

    Delivering customer support services by:

    • Preparing freight quotations (standard road freight cross border and international air freight)
    • Interacting with forwarding agents on a daily basis on quotations, delivery status updates and reconciliation of cross border documents and POD’s
    • Booking collections, arranging forwarding agent collections and deliveries as well as track and trace
    • Communicating with customers by ensuring cross border invoices, SADC’s, Carnets, Bureau Veritas certificates are handed to collection staff and that documentation is correct
    • Arranging COC’s with Bureau Veritas
    • Investigating and resolving queries / problems through waybill and discrepancy reports
    • Administering discrepancy manifests in terms of collating all discrepancy reports to master records
    • Advising customers and communicating misroutes to branches
    • Checking scanning details, updating master record information, recording bay schedules in master report, reviewing endorsed waybills via claims and administering the claims procedure
    • Monitoring third party agent POD’s by printing daily outstanding POD’s and verifying the status, marking dispatch trip sheets, resolving queries and faxing copies of the waybills to customers
    • Furnishing exporters with proof of exports
    • Furnishing importers with proof of imports
    • Reconciling of GRV’s for cross border retail deliveries
    • Communicating with cross border branches on border clearances, deliveries and documentation
    • Sending daily tracking reports
    • Full function and support for international Sea and Air Freight

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Education and Training

    • Grade 12 minimum (Matric)
    • Studying towards a certificate in customer care / call centre management (beneficial)

    Experience

    • 2 years general clerical experience / working experience within a call centre environment
    • Basic understanding of Freightware or similar freight management system
    • Excellent geographical location knowledge would be beneficial
    • Ability to work with both mass and volumetric weightings

    • Coordinate trial planting, harvesting, data collection, and reporting processes.
    • Identify opportunities to improve breeding methods, processes, and resource utilization.

    • Participate in research collaborations, industry events, field days, and professional development activities.
    • Provide technical support and contribute to crop-related problem-solving initiatives.
    • Work closely with farm managers, supervisors, and research teams to ensure successful programme execution.

    Requirements

    REQUIREMENTS

    • B.Sc (Plant Breeding/Genetics) Essential
    • 1-3 years experience
    • Should be willing to work outside the majority of the time.

    Starke Ayres: Maintenance & Operations Supervisor

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Customer Service:

    • Provide excellent, professional customer service at all times, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
    • Ensure that sales staff provide excellent, professional customer service at all times.

    Maintenance and Operations:

    • Oversee the maintenance of all sales areas of the nursery, ensuring they are clean and tidy at all times.
    • Maintenance of property buildings and all associated nursery sales areas and verge.
    • Inventory control and operational management and service of small machinery and small equipment and tools.
    • Monitor stock levels daily and report shortages/requirements to the Line Manager.
    • Provide workers with assistance in performing duties as necessary to meet deadlines.
    • Ensure that all company procedures are executed correctly by sales staff.

    Supervision and Coordination:

    • Delegate tasks to the Assistant Nursery Supervisor or Sales Assistants as per management instructions.
    • Monitor sales activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods.
    • Identify difficult and complicated sales scenarios and intervene swiftly.
    • Coordinate with buyers and suppliers for seasonal training every Friday (60 minutes) for all branch staff on chemicals, fertilizers, tools, plants, and related items on sale.
    • Managing the contractors on site.
    • Organisation of monthly staff attendance register in conjunction with line managers.
    • Procurement of quotations for CAPEX and implementation thereof.
    • Management of CAPEX to specifications within budget

    Requirements

    REQUIREMENTS

    Education:

    • National Senior Certificate (NQF level 4) (essential)

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance or operational roles
    • Experience in a nursery or garden centre environment (advantageous)
    • Horticulture knowledge is advantageous
