    Commercial Tender Administrator

    In this role, a typical day will look like:

    • Engage customers and prospects via phone, email and government sites to identify tender opportunities for immediate closure, funnel placement and long-term sustainability.
    •  Generate quotations and PFI’s when required, complete tender documents and vendor application for peer review with Manager/Sales Team
    • Assist with order processing using Oracle.
    • Assist sales team with CRM (Salesforce) updates and funnel health as requested.
    • Work with the commercial team (service and direct sales) to achieve customer satisfaction expectations and quicker TAT’s

    The essential requirements of the job include:  

    • Preferred degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business Administration or a related field.
    • 6-12 months’ work experience preferably in the Analytical Instrumentation industry, the ideal candidate is someone who wants to develop in an analytical sales function later in their career
    • Has experience in compiling tenders and received formal tender training
    • Proficient in MS Office, good working knowledge of Excel and Salesforce.
    • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills

    Finance Controller

    In this role, you will:

    • Prepare and review to assure accuracy and timeliness of monthly financial statements for the South Africa Subsidiary
    • Build profit and loss and working capital forecasts and the annual budget for South Africa Subsidiary Implement best-in-class financial processes and controls across Hach’s operations.
    • Perform financial results analysis to identify variations and trends that indicate possible exposures while providing management with insight into the trends and variances on the company financials with the aim of partnering with Country Manager and provi- ding financial leadership to drive company objectives. 
    • Challenges existing processes, systems, reports, data analysis and outputs and implements necessary changes to create a best-in-class control environment.
    • Develop, coach, manage rewards, set objectives, prepare, and give performance reviews for the local finance team fostering an inclusive workplace and leveraging diversity in all forms.  

    Are you qualified?

    The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, experience, and background to perform effectively in the role:

    • 7+ years’ experience in finance and accounting.
    • Strong in general accounting, auditing, and financial analysis with good knowledge level of Accounting Standards & US GAAP, being Chartered Accountant is a plus.
    • Strong understanding of risk assessment and internal controls.
    • Strong interpersonal skills; able to serve as a business partner.
    • Understanding of Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment, a plus.

    Field Service & Workshop Engineer

    In this role, a typical day will look like:

    • Provide on-demand front line field service support & workshop repairs to Hach customers
    • Install and verify proper operation of instrument systems at customer sites
    • Create and maintain service records using provided documents
    • Have the ability to troubleshoot and repair electromechanical instrument systems
    • Ability to operate instrumentation including multi-meters, and data acquisition equipment

    The essential requirements of the job include:

    • BS Degree/ Diploma in mechanical, electrical, electronic engineering, or experience that demonstrates related equivalence required
    • 2 - 5 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

    Regional Sales Engineer

    In this role, a typical day will look like:

    • Develop sales territory and account plans to achieve assigned targets by fully utilizing SFDC, reporting results and funnel health during a weekly review with manager. Using Hach Tools and systems to drive growth
    • Prepares and presents monthly forecasts by accurately managing opportunities.
    • Visit a minimum of 20 clients per a week to drive strategy to action and solve customer problems. Develops a network of customer and industry contacts in the territory to position Hach as a key member of the water management community.
    • Understand the Hach portfolio and areas of application, including quoting, following up and general sales activities. Must be adaptable/knowledgeable to work across many applications (WWTW, DW, Power, Oil&Gas, F&B)
    • Travel locally and abroad (up to 80%)

    The essential requirements of the job include:

    • At least 5 years of experience preferably in the analytical instrumentation industry as a sales associate.
    • Preferred degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Engineering or similar
    • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
    • Teamwork and ability to work across Cultures, Countries, Locations, and business teams.
    • Must have own vehicle with Code B license
