Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing all aspects of the fish shop, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Provide excellent customer service, greeting customers, answering questions, and offering product recommendations.
• Assist in training and supervising staff members, ensuring they are knowledgeable about the products and equipped to provide top-notch service.
• Work with the senior manager to analyze sales trends and develop strategies to increase revenue and improve profitability.
• Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of fresh, high-quality seafood products.
• Assist in creating and implementing marketing initiatives to attract new customers and build brand loyalty.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and safe working environment for staff and customers.

Qualifications:

• Matric,Tertiary Qualification will be advantageous
• Previous experience working in a seafood or food retail environment is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with a diverse range of customers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take on leadership responsibilities.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Knowledge of seafood products and preparation techniques is a plus.

• Ensure that all products are handled, stored, and displayed in accordance with food safety regulations
• Manage inventory levels, order new products as needed, and monitor product quality

• Monitor customer feedback and address any issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner
• Train new staff members on proper fish handling techniques and customer service standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the fish shop, including storage areas and display cases

Qualifications:

•  Matric
• Proven experience working in a fish shop or similar environment
• Strong knowledge of different types of seafood and proper handling techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred
• Food safety certification would be advantageous
