    Mining Solutions Consultant

    Main Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Develop an understanding of the client’s business needs and how the project will deliver value.
    • Participate in the solution, implementation, and entrenchment design.
    • Execute the solution design within an overall project plan, including solution configuration in line with the
    • Inbound and Outbound Books of Standards.
    • Participate in the software and solution testing.
    • Participate in developing of training material and deliver training.
    • Participate in the entrenching software adoption in line with client processes and value objectives.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of methods and procedures to support the implementation method.
    • Maintain and gain upgrade knowledge of MineRP software to effectively utilize and promote it.
    • Participate in the business diagnostics exercises to determine value scope and focus.
    • Participate in the proof of value exercises to demonstrate value of solution in the client environment.
    • Introduce or participate in the standardizing configuration across sites/clients/methods.
    • Maintain documentation related to planned and executed standardized configuration.
    • Provide front-line client care (customer support) services and submit support tickets per standard procedures
    • Perform adoption functions in line with MineRP methodology.
    • Participate in Business Process Mapping of As-Is and To-Be client processes, when required.
    • Participate in continuously improving of MineRP products through feedback to the Product Management and Development teams.
    • Participating in Testing cycles – part of delivery to client as well as part of product testing.

    • Participate in activities as described in Personal Development Plan, as agreed with the Global Services Manager and/or Projects & Implementation Manager.
    • Facilitate knowledge sharing and skills development processes (best practice, lessons learnt, etc.).

    • Proven practical mining exposure which includes exposure to mine planning, design, and scheduling processes.

    Educational Qualifications:

    • A tertiary (degree or diploma) in Mining Engineering, Industrial Engineering or other applicable engineering qualification or related qualifications in Mine Technical Services (Geology, Survey, etc.).
    • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) formally acknowledging skills, competence, expertise, and capabilities that an implementation consultant possesses as a result of prior learning that may have occurred through formal, informal or non-formal means, through self-study, work or other life experience

    Business Development Manager - Exploration

    Main Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Maintain an up-to-date portfolio of competitor information including equipment specifications, market activities and market share.
    • Meet and exceed the customer’s expectations on problem resolutions.
    • Support the sales force in their selling efforts. This will include the preparation of quotations, product application studies, tenders and sales support material.

    Skills, Competence and Experience:

    • 5 - 8 years exposure to the sales and business development environments of the drilling industry minimum requirement
    • Sound knowledge of all the OBK (Exploration) product lines and their applications.
    • Proven track record in sales of Exploration and/or Surface Drilling product lines.
    • Team management expertise.
    • A complete and thorough knowledge of company values and their ability to promote them both internally as well as externally.
    • Good internal and external communication skills and customer focused.
    • Computer literate.
    • A proven self-starter who requires within well-defined guidelines, limited supervision.
    • Willingness to travel extensively across the country as required by business development.
    • Valid code 08 driver’s licence.

    Educational Qualifications:

    • Grade 12 – minimum requirement
    • Other qualifications (Diploma, Degree, Post-Graduate Degree etc.) – Added advantage

    End User Support Specialist - Sub Sahara Africa

    Mission

    • To provide efficient support services to our end users enabling the business to succeed. In this role, you will be fully involved in the day-to-day activities of the support team, including helping users sitting in different countries and working with another team within our IT function.

    Main Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Process all relevant support tickets within the team's delivery scope according to quality and performance measures for on-site and remote end users across the region.
    • Ensure the end users' capability to access certified applications from the supported endpoints according to the Epiroc Way policies.
    • Provide reactive and proactive support of the certified endpoints (laptops, desktops, tablets, mobile devices) and coordinate HW procurement in alignment to the internal policies.
    • Keep the asset database records up to date.
    • Create and maintain documentation related to the team's delivery scope, supported locations, and procedures.
    • Provide hands-on support to our infrastructure teams in server, network, and telephony areas.
    • Advise the end users on their IT needs, best practices, and internal rules and processes.
    • Educate the end users regarding IT support services and deliverables.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement process with the overall target to increase efficiency and value to the business.
    • Manage and participate in projects as assigned.
    • Represents Epiroc IT for all IT needs of the end users.
    • Travel when required up to 10% of the time.
    • Vendor support for the IT area.
    • Properly escalate incidents to Regional End User Support Manager and Regional IT Manager according to the impact, severity, and urgency.
    • Collaborate with the Regional End User Support Manager and the Regional IT Manager on the management of the IT platform to keep the information systems in optimal operating condition.
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Competences, Skills & Experience:

    • 2 to 4+ years' experience in first (and second) line service desk operations with frequent customer contact and/or experience in a shared service environment.
    • Working experience with helpdesk system, ServiceNow preferred.
    • Understanding of ITIL process and terminology, ITIL Foundation certification is an advantage.
    • Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with PC HW, especially laptops (preferably Dell) and accessories.
    • Windows OS for clients advanced understanding (installation, configuration, troubleshooting, network integration and management) including experience within enterprise environment.
    • Experience with PC management software (remote support, SW deployment, OS imaging, etc. where Symantec Altiris solution knowledge is an asset.
    • Understanding of the networking concepts, especially IP protocol, ethernet, LAN, WAN WLAN, NAT, VPN, switching, routing, VLANs, etc. (Cisco HW is an advantage)
    • Understand and work with Active Directory.
    • File sharing and printing services management.
    • Mobile devices (Samsung & Apple) usage and setup support.
    • Microsoft 365 services and SW basic support.
    • Windows Server OS administration basics.
    • Proven project management skills

    Educational Qualifications:

    • A tertiary qualification in I.T
