    Senior Category Manager - Avon

     

    What you'll be doing:

    Delivering business growth through BPC market share growth. Key deliverable is the category strategy, enabled by:

    • Consumer Closeness (Research interpretation, Insight development, Gap Analysis, Consumer Acquisition strategies),
    • Portfolio (PPA, Guardrails, Playbooks), Innovation: Local and Global (PPA Strategy, Briefs, Forecasting, High level launch plans, Approvals)
    • Accountable for Strategy Development & Dissemination, and Approval on execution

    Key responsibilities:

    CONSUMER, COMPETITOR AND MARKET INSIGHTS

    • Analyse all research resources (Consumer Panel, Nielsen, TGI, EM, BH, U&A, IMI and other), to derive key insights around consumer, competitor, market, macro trends, untapped opportunities & related growth drivers.
    • Continuously incorporate insights into all strategies, plans, briefs, business updates etc.
    • Regular performance interrogation with clear insights & actions to course-correct declines or accelerate growth.

    ANNUAL (LIVE) STRATEGIES

    • Synthesise all inputs into robust, consumer-centric strategies (not tactics or plans).
    • Disseminate category strategies (supported with robust playbooks & guardrails) to business partners for execution
    • Approve plans in line with shared strategies

    PORTFOLIO

    • Define & manage locally relevant, optimally productive PPA (right product, right size, right price) in line with consumer needs.
    • Responsible for responsible product lifecycle management.
    • Develop or access from Global & cascade Category & individual brand playbooks that highlight mandatories, ROTR & guardrails.

    INNOVATION

    • Accountable for the end-to-end process related to innovation (Global & Local NPD) (Global selections, system updated, estimating sheet adherence updates, strategic insight for innovation, launch pricing, promotional launch plan. Tracking of data & updating relevant brand, innovation trackers etc..) (Local NPD Identify gap, identify size of prize, complete briefs & manage process)

    EXECUTION BRIEFS

    • Brief all relevant departments on agreed brand calendar events. (tentpoles, brand events, innovation, etc)
    • Disseminate / develop brand playbooks / guardrails that will be briefed to creative, and monitored for correct execution through design stages
    • Brief all innovation to creative teams
    • Approve all plans / executions in line with disseminated strategies, playbooks & guardrails.

    PLANNING (ANNUAL & QUARTERLY)

    • Prepare & present consumer insights, category strategy & master plans. (Brand plans, portfolio changes, innovation, guardrails, etc).

    GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP INTERACTIONS

    • Influence & critical local input for co-creation of global strategies, portfolio, product pipelines & content, toolkits, etc.

    OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Administrative tasks including but not limited to FMR’s field queries, budget management.

    Packaging Engineer

    Job Description / Key Accountabilities

    • Provide technical expertise to successfully develop new packages to achieve marketing/ consumer objectives for each product launch within a defined category.
    • Compile & complete accurate component & packaging specifications.
    • Work with R&D to coordinate appropriate packaging testing, report and resolve problems.
    • Support QA in problem resolution in all packaging related queries and customer complaints.
    • Ensure that the creative department has the latest product pack to shoot for the brochure and correct worksmap is shared in time for artwork Source, develop and specify packaging components with high marketable value and technical quality, in a timeous manner to meet deadlines.
    • Ensure the correct artwork is handed over to the printing suppliers in an agreed format and co-ordinate the proof approvals and printing capabilities.
    • Improve current packaging components based on aesthetics; stay abreast of new trends and advanced technology regarding packaging systems.
    • Ensure that development is consistent from a design and execution viewpoint, including requesting all technical Avon packaging specifications from Global.
    • Ensure specifications are checked against local packaging components to ensure compatibility.
    • Actively source and develop high-quality packaging components inline with the global trends.
    • Support procurement department with product packaging costing pack for the development and launch gate phases of the implementation process.
    • Monitor current vendors, resolve technical issues and source and develop new vendors.
    • Ensure locally developed products meet specific requirements for aesthetics, manufacturing and distribution.
    • Travel to suppliers and Contract Manufacturer’s facilitates for the production approval including colour.

    Work Experience

    • 1 -3 years' experience Packaging development in a cosmetic environment
    • Preferable experience (1-2yrs) in NPD timeline co-ordination
    • Preferable experience in QA problem resolution

    Education

    • Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in Chemistry
    • One Year Diploma Packaging qualification

    Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst

    Key responsibilities:

    • Provide analytical support for overall management reporting and projects. 
    • Collaborate closely with Finance systems, Investor Relations, Treasury, Tax and markets FP&A teams to ensure alignment and accuracy. 
    • Analyze business results and trends using both internal and external benchmarks. 
    • Assist in the coordination and execution of the forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning process. 
    • Conduct key analyses, including risk assessments for budget, forecast, and plan submissions. 
    • Track major trends, communicate changes to expectations, and provide actionable insights. 
    • Liaise with other financial functions to deliver high-quality FP&A outputs on time. 
    • Develop new reports, models, and analytical tools to enhance business performance monitoring. 
    • Support special projects related to expenses, headcount, and capital spending analysis. 
    • Provide financial expertise and support for key business initiatives and projects. 

    What We’re Looking For: 

    • Strong experience in financial planning, forecasting, and analysis. 
    • Excellent analytical skills with a proven ability to assess trends and identify risks. 
    • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting and reporting tools. Strong knowledge of excel is a must and knowledge of Oracle EPM would be considered as advantage. 
    • A strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights. 
    • Strong collaboration skills and experience working with cross-functional teams. 
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
