    Group 1.5 Preschool Teacher

    Minimum Requirements

    • Educator must have a teaching education qualification e.g. NQF Level 6
    • Minimum 3 years experience in teaching Preschool
    • Medium of instruction is both English and Afrikaans
    • Good communication skills
    • Own transport
    • Must have a passion for preschool education
    • Flexible hours
    • Must be registered with SACE and have a valid SACE certificate.
    • Must also be available for induction prior to commencement of duty.
    • Must be technologically savvy and experience in hybrid teaching will be an added advantage.
    • COVID19 Vaccination Certicate is essential
    • To plan, control, record and report on Assessments.
    • To attend meetings, forums, workshops for the grade/ phase as required.
    • To be responsible for any and all school equipment and stock in the control of the teacher and class.
    • To work closely with the teachers in the Grades to ensure the effective running of the Grades
    • To manage, plan, assist and promote teaching and learning within the class.
    • To manage, plan, assist and promote activities (sport and culture) within the School
    • To manage, plan, assist and promote discipline within the Grades.
    • Ability to coach or manage a sport or other extra-curricular activity an advantage
    • A clear criminal record is essential.

    • Ability to lead and nurture young staff members.
    • Excellent management & leadership skills

    • Sound and proven business acumen

    Senior Phase Head

    Minimum Requirements

    • An appropriate academic and professional qualification from a recognized tertiary institution
    • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position
    • COVID19 Vaccination Certificate is essential
    • SACE registered
    • Willing to adhere to the Christian values of the school
    • Clear criminal record

    Will be responsible to:

    • Work together with the Executive Head and School educational leadership to ensure high standards of teaching and learning practice
    • Performing the duties of a Teacher and Phase Head
    • Actively assisting the Executive Head in ensuring the good professional practice, standards, and quality of teaching and learning of subject/s through proper dialogue with the class teachers
    • To promote a healthy process of reciprocal informal observation of class teaching practices;
    • Advising and contributing to curriculum development at school
    • Co-ordinating the teaching and learning of the phase
    • Setting examination papers, co-ordinating marking rosters and moderating examinations and assessment processes
    • Mentoring other teachers in the phase
    • Holding and leading regular departmental meetings and ensuring the keeping of minutes;
    • Be involved in extra mural activities
