    Programme Manager Company Name Distell

    To drive the implementation of Strategic Programmes in the Supply Chain, provide the governance, manage risks, identify opportunities for improvement and provide support for Project Sponsors and Project owners in terms of the effective execution of the strategic initiatives.

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • Develop and agree with key stakeholders a roadmap for implementation and monitor and report on progress against Supply Chain Network Optimisation initiatives and other strategic initiatives
    • Lead change management activities to manage risk and delivery on key programmes
    • Implement and manage Programme Governance, Project Management methodology and tools to ensure OTIF delivery on key strategic programmes
    • Ensure supply chain programmes and initiatives delivers on intent and ROI
    • Identify and prioritise process improvement initiatives and develop a framework for improved opportunities
    • Constantly evaluate and re-align key supply chain programmes with changing business priorities
    • Compile and motivate a budget with a clear benefit case and manage the budget with escalation on any deviations.
    • Identify, research and drive value engineering production process opportunities to support efficiencies and reduce cost
    • Develop and manage the most effective relationships with the right stakeholders to deliver on strategic priorities
    • Collaborate with business units to achieve full alignment and buy-in on strategic initiatives
    • Review and benchmark supply chain practices, alternative business models, innovative asset utilisation, delivery solutions to improve business performance and develop a competitive advantage
    • Identify, document and implement lessons learned and share with relevant stakeholders.
    • Coach and support management on supply chain management practices to drive focused capability development and high performance culture

    Minimum Qualification

    • Relevant B Degree
    • Engineering Degree will be advantageous

    The successful candidate must have the following qualification, skills and experience:

    • 8 Years relevant experience
    • Knowledge of Distell End-to-end Supply Chain and Network Optimisation Practises
    • Experience of project management processes (Prince II, PMP), change management, conflict management, facilitation and problem solving (Essential)
    • Proven in depth knowledge of Supply Chain/Manufacturing Management Systems
    • Ability to work across functional areas and multiple locations
    • Proven track record of successful delivery of Programmes and Projects
    • Ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels in the organisation
    • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
    • Innovative thinking – ability to challenge the status quo
    • Supply Chain and Group Collaboration

    Production Controller

    Applications are invited for the above mentioned position to be based in Secondary Production, Wadeville Supply Chain. The successful candidate will report to the Unit Manager.

    Key Performance Areas Include, But Not Limited To

    • Reducing unplanned downtime.
    • Minimising losses and write-offs.
    • Improve OEE. (Overall Equipment Efficiency) and ( ME )Machine efficiency
    • Manage brand and size change overs
    • Limiting rework or non-conformance.
    • Ensuring the relevant process control is applied to produce a product which complies with quality specifications
    • Development and motivation of subordinates.
    • Managing administrative duties i.e. compile OEE sheets, declare and investigate losses on Production Order variances, compile claims, etc.
    • Facilitate the Mini business operating principles, processes and practices.
    • Attending various meetings i.e. Level 1 and 2, Safety, Multilevel, Problem solving and Service level Agreements.
    • Leading a production team and overseeing the smooth operation of machines and equipment
    • Attaining production plan

    The successful candidate must have the following qualification, skills and experience:

    • NQF5 manufacturing Management or Operations Management qualification
    • Computer literacy particulary MS Office
    • Ability to work independently and under pressure in a production environment
    • Identify and solve problems and make relevant decisions
    • Be self-motivated and action orientated
    • Be a team plater and innovator
    • 2 – 3 years’ experience in a bottling environment.
    • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
    • Sound conflict handling skills.
    • Ability to organise resources and effectively delegate tasks to subordinates.
    • Ability to facilitate performance management.
    • Can set controls over arrangements, follow-up and evaluate task execution.
    • Ability to display confidence. Through perseverance and resilience, can stay with a task and display the required energy to achieve objectives and outputs.
    • Knowledge of ISO and HACCP quality management systems.
    • Computer literate in MS Office (Excel & Word) and SAP.
    • Must be willing and able to work shifts and overtime if and when required.

    Quality Controller Extrinsics

    Applications are invited to apply for the above mentioned position to be based at Secondary Production, Springs. The successful applicant will report to the Quality Control Manager

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • Maintain comprehensive quality assurance programme for bottling and packaging material.
    • Maintain standards for SANS 1841 certification.
    • Maintain standards for ISO 9001:2015 and FSSC 22,000.
    • Facilitate and participate in problem solving.
    • Liaise with internal and external customers & suppliers.
    • Assist with effective supplier management.
    • Ensure constant delivery of superior quality products.
    • Assist in minimizing write off / rework costs.
    • Perform administrative requirements.
    • Performance management of subordinates.
    • Training of production and materials personnel on process control and standards.
    • Ensure training and development of subordinates to meet business objectives.
    • Facilitate World class operations and Best practice implementation activities of team.

    The Successful Candidate Must Have The Following Experience/skills

    • National diploma / BSc in Food technology, Microbiology or Chemistry or equivalent qualification.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a team leader within a manufacturing environment.
    • Ability to implement quality procedures and policies in line with the guidelines of the organization in own division.
    • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, SANS 1841, FSSC 22,000.
    • Knowledge and experience working with Free-weight Systems would be beneficial.
    • Strong numerical aptitude and analytical abilities are essential.
    • Strong technical aptitude and understanding relating to a packaging environment.
    • Ability to interpret and action analyses results.
    • Motivated self-starter with proven verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to develop and evaluate alternative courses of action and being aware of all criteria that has to be satisfied to address a problem.
    • Ability to initiate action spontaneously without being urged on to do so.
    • Strong ability to develop the skills of team members in own work area regarding specific tasks.
    • Have a good understanding of team leadership and the importance of empowerment of team members.
    • Can apply motivational techniques to enhance the performance of subordinates in own work area.
    • Excellent computer skills on MS Excel, MS Office, PowerPoint, with experience working on SAP being beneficial.
    • Reflect good leadership behaviour – towards all colleagues and company values.
