    Business Development Manager

    Job Description

    • A well-established South African company in Johannesburg, Gauteng is expanding its product portfolio to include a new range of forklifts and industrial floor cleaning machines. The business seeks a highly driven, commercially astute Business Development Manager to drive growth across these new lines.
    • This is an opportunity to take a lead role in launching two new equipment ranges backed by strong technical support and supply chain infrastructure and the mandate is to establish and grow these new equipment lines in the South African market.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct detailed market analysis to identify potential customers, market segments, competitors, and growth opportunities.
    • Proactively identify and engage potential customers in warehousing, logistics, industrial, and commercial sectors.
    • Drive full-cycle B2B sales from lead generation to closing deals.
    • Develop and execute sales strategies to build market share across both product categories.

    Corporate Finance Associate

    Role Overview

    • As an Associate, you will take responsibility for the full valuation and transaction support process, work closely with portfolio companies, and be actively involved in driving investment decisions. You will also be responsible for managing detailed due diligence processes, compiling high-quality investment proposals, and preparing accurate financial reports.
    • Your ability to apply advanced valuation techniques and your commercial insight will be critical to the success of the role.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct in-depth valuations using various methodologies including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), EV/EBITDA, EV/EBIT, Price/Earnings (P/E), and Price/Net Asset Value (P/NAV)
    • Perform comprehensive financial analysis of companies and financial statements to assess investment potential
    • Lead and complete thorough due diligence on prospective deals
    • Draft discussion papers and investment proposals for transaction committees
    • Manage and maintain reporting relationships with portfolio companies
    • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all reports and documentation
    • Participate in ongoing engagement and oversight of portfolio companies post-investment
    • Uphold a strong standard of quality, reliability, and collaboration across all deliverables

    Ideal Candidate Profile

    • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) – non-negotiable
    • Minimum of 6 years post-articles experience, with at least 3 years in a corporate finance or investment role
    • Strong track record in financial modelling, valuations, and due diligence
    • Demonstrated ability to think critically, communicate clearly, and present recommendations confidently
    • High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Commercially strong with a problem-solving mindset and results-oriented work ethic
    • Preference for a female candidate from an underrepresented group (Black, Coloured, or Indian) in line with transformation goals, although all qualified candidates are welcome to apply
