    Business Solutions Analyst

    Job Purpose

    • The Solution Analyst is responsible for bridging the gap between business and technology and/or software solutions team. Contributing to the documentation of business, system & stakeholder requirements, the Solution Analyst combines the skill sets of both a business analyst and a systems analyst—integrating an understanding of organisational goals, operations, and processes with technical expertise to shape effective solutions. The Solution Analyst is responsible for assessing business, process and system impact, identifying solution requirements, and recommending the outcome.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Interacting with all relevant stakeholders and conducting business process needs analysis to understand requirements with an objective of producing a concise business case.
    • Analyse and understand business requirements to identify changes and additions required to meet the business requirements.
    • Conduct impact analysis to identify and understand risk associated with an enhancement or project as well as input to risk mitigation strategies.
    • Make recommendations based on the interpretation of business requirements, ensure that all impacts have been carefully considered, analysed and the resulting procedure and system configuration is the most appropriate and best meets the business need.
    • Be responsible for providing multi-disciplinary teams with user stories and coaching to define the business driven acceptance criteria and test cases. Proactively support the uplift of Agile practices and foster a culture of continual service improvement.
    • Communicate needed changes to development & testing team and ensure implementation thereof.
    • Estimate the financial or other benefits of changes to processes, risks and/or potential impact and report to the relevant stakeholders if relevant.
    • Participate in and facilitate relevant Agile ceremonies and rituals: Backlog Refinement, Daily Stand-up, Iteration / Release Planning, Showcases / Sprint Review, Retrospective.

    Required Knowledge and Experience    

    • Minimum 6 years’ working experience in IT business analysis – (3 years of which should be in the Short-Term insurance environment)
    • 1-2 years Data/systems migration, development and integration including data flows, sequence diagrams, ERD’s, API’s and SQL for data retrieval.

    Required Knowledge and Skills

    • Agile/Scrum knowledge
    • Working understanding of JIRA or similar case management system

    Claims consultant

    Job Advert Summary    

    • Hello… an exciting new opportunity has just become available in our Insure, Broker Distribution. We are looking to recruit a Claims Consultant in the Central Region, BFN. 

    Role Objectives  

    • Responsible for managing Branch claims assigned, within the branch mandate, within the set standards required by the company thus contributing to the productivity of the claims department. Maintaining the standards of the claims department thus enhancing the image of Hollard, as well as ensuring technical aspects for claims settlement are adhered to. Contribute to the growth and profitability of Hollard and ensure strong working relationship between all stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Technical expertise: To evaluate and investigate all claims received in order to prevent possible leakage to the company in the settlement of claims.
    • Customer service: Maintain a high level of service to customers (internal and external) according to service level agreements and within the service standards as set by the Company.
    • Service to brokers: Over and above normal claims processing duties such as technical advice and other assistance.
    • Effective and timeous communication: Communicate in a professional manner with internal and external parties and respond to queries within 24 hours.
    • Registration: All claims received to be registered within 24 hours of receipt.

    Required Knowledge and Experience    

    • Good knowledge of Commercial (including AGRI) & Personal insurance with at least 5 years’ experience
    • Claims procedure
    • Insurance terminology
    • Legal knowledge (prescription act, insurance act, FAIS)
    • Underwriting knowledge (ability to interpret policy wording, understanding how claims information impacts on underwriting)
    • Basic risk assessment knowledge (understand the assessment process, with an ability to appoint the right assessor)
    • Reinsurance and treaties (basic understanding)
    • Product knowledge
    • Basic financial knowledge (estimates, premiums, co-insurance)
    • FAIS compliance

    Test Team Lead

    Job Purpose

    • Overseeing end-to-end testing strategies, driving test automation initiatives, and mentoring the QA team. Ensure quality standards across all aspects of the SDLC—from planning to delivery. Work closely with development, DevOps, and business teams to align QA efforts with overall project goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Define and own the overall automation testing strategy, ensuring alignment with project and product goals
    • Identify areas suitable for automation, perform ROI analysis, and prioritize test cases for automation.
    • Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable automation frameworks (such as Hybrid, BDD, POMbased) suitable for both UI and API layers.
    • Lead the creation of comprehensive automation test plans that outline objectives, tools, timelines, scope, and risk mitigation strategies aligned with business goals.
    • Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and reusable automation frameworks.
    • Reviewing test scripts, execution results, and ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into test cases.
    • Providing technical mentorship to QA engineers and guiding them in automation and testing best practices.
    • Monitoring test coverage and quality metrics and reporting them to stakeholders.
    • Driving continuous improvement in testing processes and tools.
    • Participating in sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives as part of agile teams

    Required Knowledge and Experience    
    Required Experience

    • 10+ years of experience in software testing with at least 4-5 years in a lead role.
    • Strong experience with automation tools like Cypress or Playwright or Selenium, or equivalent.
    • Solid experience in testing RESTful APIs and backend services.
    • Experience working with Git-based version control systems (GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab).
    • 2+ years in short-term insurance projects
    • Experience in performance testing tools like K6, JMeter or Gatling.
    • Exposure to mobile testing frameworks such as Appium. Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing on platforms like Browser Stack or Sauce Labs.
    • Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes environments.
    • Understanding of security testing practices and tools like OWASP ZAP.
    • Experience in generating reports using tools like Allure or Extent Reports.

    Required Knowledge and Skills

    • Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript; experience in Python is an added advantage.
    • Expertise in frameworks such as Cucumber, JUnit, or TestNG.
    • Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration tools like GitLab CI, Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
    • Good understanding of STLC, agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), and DevOps practices.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills to lead QA teams, resolve conflicts, and manage stakeholders
    • Excellent technical and analytical skills, with ability to self-learn new technologies
    • User experience orientation
