    Attendant: Public Area

    Requirements

    • Perform routine and deep cleaning of public areas such as reception area, lobbies, corridors, elevator, lounges, restrooms, conference facilities and other guest accessible spaces as per workflow chart and schedule.
    • Provide clear handover to colleagues on the next shift.
    • Report technical and maintenance problems and perform minor maintenance tasks.
    • Hand over any lost property to housekeeping management.
    • Sign off daily work schedule.
    • Safety, Security and legal compliance
    • Use equipment as per manufacture’s specifications.
    • Use chemicals according to set standards.

    Responsibilities

    • Grade 12 (Matric) / NCV level 4 or equivalent
    • 1-2 year’s practical work experience in Public Area tourism environment.
    • Working knowledge of equipment used in housekeeping.
    • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety basics.
    • Communication skills.
    • Cleaning skills.
    • Ability to work in a team.

    2x Senior Civil Technologists (Fixed-Term Contract)

    Requirements

    • B-Eng or B-Tech degree in Civil Engineering (specializing in Water & Sanitation or Structural Engineering)
    • Knowledge of the National Building Regulations.
    • Professional registration with ECSA (advantageous).
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD or Caddie software and Prokon Engineer software.
    • Minimum of 5 years relevant post-qualification experience in a civil engineering environment (Working under civil consulting firm).
    • Experience in landscaping and stormwater design (advantageous).
    • Knowledge of surveying (advantageous).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Valid driver’s license.

    Responsibilities

    • Apply specialized expertise in civil and structural engineering, focusing on the design of water and sewer networks, platform designs, and structural systems.
    • Perform structural analysis and design, calculating loads and stresses (gravity, wind, seismic) and designing structural components such as beams, columns, foundations, and slabs.
    • Advise on material selection (steel, concrete, timber, masonry) considering strength, durability, cost, and environmental impact.
    • Ensure all designs and construction practices comply with South African National Standards (SANS), building codes, and health and safety regulations.
    • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including structural drawings, detailed plans, specifications, cost estimates, and reports for clients and regulatory authorities.
    • Conduct site inspections and oversight, monitoring construction progress, ensuring adherence to design specifications, and performing quality control checks.
    • Collaborate effectively with architects, contractors, quantity surveyors, and other professionals to coordinate project execution and resolve design or construction issues.
    • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential structural hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians to build technical capacity and support professional development.
    • Plan and conduct field surveys, analyse site conditions, and prepare technical representations (maps, graphs, diagrams) to inform project design.

    Quantity Surveyor: Infrastructure Management

    Requirements

    • A Degree/ BSC/ B-Tech in Quantity Surveying. (NQF Level 7). (Essential).
    • Relevant Honours Degree (NQF level 8) (an added advantage).
    • Minimum 5-7 years post-qualification experience working under Quantity Surveying firm.
    • Computer Literate (MS Office Suit).
    • Proficiency in Computer-aided Quantity Surveying applications.
    • Registered as professional quantity surveyor will be an added advantage.
    • Driver’s licence and own transport is essential.
    • Sound knowledge of the OHSACT and Construction Regulations.
    • Stable employment record and contactable references.

    Responsibilities

    • Incumbent will perform effective control and management of cost and budget.
    • Provide support and expertise at every stage of the project from initial feasibility to Project final account.
    • Site Measurements, preparation of Bill of Quantity.
    • Analyse and forecast against estimated cash flows.
    • Prepare monthly cost billing and payment certificates.
    • Prepare & develop construction programmes.
    • Assist with preparation management reports as and when required.
    • Perform any other general estimating or quality surveying duties as may be directed by management.
    • Comply with all internal control, policies procedures and standards.
