    Maternity Cover Grade 1 Teacher

    ROLE SUMMARY:

    • To adopt a holistic view to students in their care, promoting the general progress and well-being of individuals and of any class or group assigned to them. To create a positive learning environment and motivate students to achieve their full potential.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Financial Controller Analyst

    ROLE SUMMARY:

    •  Responsible for assisting with statutory and management account reporting of Inspired - Africa

    DEPARTMENTAL STRATEGY:

    • Finance: To deliver accurate financial reporting, generating insight to management on opportunities for efficiencies and improvements ensuring that the finance function is a business partner.

    STRATEGIC CONTRIBUTION OF THIS POSITION:

    • Ensure that Group Financial policies are consistently implemented at head office as well as the schools under review.  Ensure that financial records are accurate and management accounts reflect the financial position of the respective schools.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist financial controller with monthly preparation of consolidation for Inspired Africa group management accounts, including management commentary for submission to Global head office
    • Preparation of Inspired Africa group AFS
    • Key external audit liaison
    • Preparation of the tax calculations and reporting for Inspired Africa Schools
    • Treasury management and reporting for Inspired Africa
    • Provide support on technical view on all accounting and financial reporting matters for Inspired Africa
    • Assist financial team with ad hoc analysis
    • Assist financial controller with monthly preparation of consolidation for Inspired Africa group management accounts, including management commentary for submission to Global head office
    • Preparation of Inspired Africa group AFS
    • Key external audit liaison
    • Cognos uploads and review
    • Prepare and review management accounts for SA and Mauritius entities
    • Preparation of budgets/forecasts.

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

    • CA(SA)
    • 2-3 years accounting experience
    • Articles will be beneficial
    • Job and organisational knowledge
    • Knowledge of JDE, Cognos and other IBM tools
    • Computer literacy (MS Excel proficient)
    • Strong financial skills, including deep analytical skills
    • Ability to work well under pressure
    • Well organised with an attention to detail and the ability to think and work quickly and calmly in a demanding environment
