    Human Resources and Operations Manager

    Job Purpose

    • The IoDSA is a small to medium sized non-profit company, operating in the professional bodyspace.
    • We work in a dynamic high-performance environment with limited resources and a fairly flat organogram structure.
    • We know that our employees are one of our most valuable resources, and their performance, development and well being are central to the business’ ability to create value.
    • We are looking for a dynamic HR professional to join our management team, the ideal candidate would have experience in a leadership role, be able to provide HR insight to bear on all people related issues, including Employee and Industrial Relations, be a trusted advisor to the business and have extensive knowledge of applicable labour legislation.

    Key responsibilities and duties

    Human Resources:

    Oversight and management of Senior Administrator: Human Resources including the following aspects:

    • Attract, develop and retain quality people
    • Statutory reporting, as per all applicable legislation (e.g. WSP; ATR; EE Report)
    • EE plan operational design, execution and monitoring
    • Manage and ensure the accuracy, validity and completeness of all HR records, including but
      not limited to, databases, organograms, employee personnel files and HR systems
    • Ongoing and ad-hoc HR-related internal audits
    • End-to-end recruitment and selection, training and development, employee wellness and
      benefits and performance enhancement processes
    • Performance and Development of the IoDSA team, to ensure a diverse and high performance team

    Operations Management:

    Oversight and management of Senior Administrator: Operations including day-to-day operations, end-to-end with respect to:

    • Occupational Health and Safety
    • Business continuity and Crisis management
    • Procurement processes related to B-BBEE strategy
    • Office facilities
    • Liaison with outsourced service providers

    General:

    • Attendance of management meetings, and participation in key decisions as a member of the management team
    • Attendance of functions and representation of the IoDSA
    • Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team
    • Budget management for the respective area
    • Provide in-depth management reporting and analysis of area, with actions for improvement continuously, and periodic inputs into Board and board committee reporting
    • Implement operational best practices and continuous innovation of operational processes for operational efficiency and effectiveness
    • Regular reviews and management of all applicable policies and procedures within department
    • Assist Senior Manager: Finance and Operations with additional adhoc tasks as and when required

     Experience, training and qualifications (Technical Requirement)

    • University degree in Human Resources or similar qualification
    • SABPP certification preferred
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an HR generalist role, with leadership interaction
    • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing teams in an SME is desirable

    Senior Manager: Legal and Compliance

     Job description

    Key responsibilities and duties

    Legal

    • Provide quality internal legal advice as well as provide guidance and alerts on current and emerging legal risks.
    • Review and draft agreements which are both legal sound and business appropriate, as well as maintain oversight of the contract registers.
    • Draft necessary briefs and liaise with relevant company attorneys on matters, as and when necessary.
    • Monitor and manage trademarks, domains and IP related matters including matters relating to royalties and infringements.
    • Manage the review and updating of all policies and procedures, as well as internal staff training and assessment.

    Compliance

    • Conduct holistic compliance review to ensure compliance against legislation, regulations and rules identified as part of the IoDSA compliance universe and remain alert to legislative changes that impact the IoDSA, including full ownership of BEE rating and strategy
    • Draft the IoDSA Governance Report in line with King IV disclosure requirements.

    Company Secretarial

    • Assist with company secretarial function in adherence with best practice, incl performing board administration, coordinating statutory returns and statutory engagements with members.

    Member Discipline

    • Project manage Member Discipline procedures and processes in line with Member Regulations and Disciplinary Regulations, including convening of disciplinary panels, performing secretariat function and communication of outcomes.

    Admin Coordinator: Membership (Corporate)

    Job Purpose

    • The job purpose of the Membership Admin Coordinator is to provide support to internal and external stakeholders including vendors and customers. The Admin Coordinator will handle clerical and administrative duties to ensure that the department runs smoothly.
    • Membership plays a vital role in relation to the IoDSA’s reputation therefore as an Admin Coordinator you will be at the forefront of servicing our members and providing excellent customer service in all aspects of the business.
    • The Membership Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of the membership, from serving as the first of point of contact for membership related questions to assisting with events to recruit new members. You will also be tasked with maintaining records, tracking membership figures and coordinating with the finance department regarding payment of membership fees.
    • Depending on the area of membership service offerings you will be required to assist in all areas pertaining to membership i.e. Individual and Corporate membership services.

     Key responsibilities and duties

    • Handling all questions, information requests and complaints regarding membership.
    • Processing membership applications, renewals and resignations.
    • Maintaining and updating membership records.
    • Assisting with member communication activities.
    • Collecting data, tracking membership statistics and preparing reports.
    • Coordinating with the finance department to track membership revenue.
    • Preparing membership marketing material.
    • Attending member events.
    • Routine communication with all Corporate members of the IoDSA.
    • Updating of the membership Corporate and Individual Member Pipeline on a regular basis.
