    Insurance Broker

    Our Client is seeking an Insurance Broker to join their team in East London

    • Requirements:NQF Level 4 Full Qualification Required – Any NQF higher is also benefited
    • Matric Certificate 
    • Class of Business Training – Both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines
    • RE 5 Examination
    • Signed off and completed Supervision for Personal and Commercial Lines
    • Minimum 2/3 years’ experience in Commercial field – Must be able to underwrite and sell

    Underwriting Capabilities:

    Transport Manager

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or equivalent.
    • Transport-related diploma/degree.
    • At least 20 years’ experience in the transport field.
    • At least 10 years’ experience in management of transport controllers and schedulers, and a transport control room 
    • Working knowledge of vehicle tracking and transport systems.
    • A fundamental understanding of the laws governing transport.
    • A fundamental understanding of Labour Law ( LRA).
    • Experience with both short and long-haul fleets is preferred.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Manage the day to day transport requirements overseeing a fleet of almost 100 vehicles.
    • Effective management of a large team of transport controllers, drivers and general workers.
    • Ensure the controllers are continuously monitoring the fleet at all times and are logistically prepared for all situations.
    • Ensure that all customer transport requirements are completed timeously.
    • Accurate daily planning and effective usage of resources.
    • Implement cost reduction strategies.
    • Continuously identify areas within the transport department and wider business in which the business can improve, and implementing such improvements.
    • Liaise with the Human Resources department in respect of any staff related issues that arise.
    • Provide “on the job” training and guidance when necessary.
    • Manage the correct application of vehicles to jobs.
    • Ensure highest possible customer service levels.

    Mechatronics Engineer

    • Our client in the Manufacturing Industry has a role available for a Mechatronics Engineer to be based in Cape Town. The primary responsibilities will be programming of PLCs and HMIs. They will also be responsible for wiring up control panels and connecting to the various sensors.

    Job Duties: 

    • Program and troubleshoot Siemens PLCs and HMIs
    • Develop, modify, and maintain automation software for industrial systems
    • Wire, assemble, and test electrical control panels
    • Specify, install, and commission instrumentation and field devices
    • Specify and install cabling for instrumentation, control signals, and compressors
    • Produce and maintain electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
    • Perform fault finding and diagnostics on electrical and control systems
    • Assist with commissioning, testing, and site installations
    • Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical and safety standards
    • Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and project teams to deliver projects on time

    Job Requirements: 

    • Qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or a related field
    • Experience with Siemens PLCs and HMI platforms (TIA Portal preferred)
    • Experience wiring industrial control panels
    • Understanding of instrumentation and industrial control systems
    • Ability to read and create wiring diagrams and electrical schematics
    • Knowledge of industrial cabling practices and installation standards
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
    • Willingness to work on-site and travel when required

    Fitters Manager

    • Our client is seeking a Fitters Manager for their Fitting Department, who is detail orientated, process-driven and dedicated, to join their team. The Fitters Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Fitters team to ensure all mechanical equipment, machinery, and the plant operates efficiently, safely, and reliably. This role oversees preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities

    Responsibilities: 

    • Implement and manage the routine, planned and preventative maintenance programs for all machinery and equipment
    • Monitor the quality and efficiency of the team 
    • Manage the mechanical inspections on all production machinery when required
    • Manage and assist with all critical breakdowns on all Production machinery as well as breakdown investigation and forecasting
    • Assist employees with fault finding 
    • Managing the servicing of any mechanical components
    • Ensure that any critical parts that are to be kept at stores are updated regularly
    • Liaising with suitable suppliers and sourcing of quality parts and spares
    • Estimate costs and time required for repair or maintenance of the machinery
    • Ensure that the machinery, equipment and tools are regularly checked as per the Safety File for the department
    • Ensure compliance to Legal Requirements, Company and Health & Safety rules, policies and regulations

    Requirements:

    • Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
    • Qualified Mechanical Fitter Red Seal Trade Test certificate or suitable higher qualification
    • Minimum of 10 years working experience in a similar or heavy industry
    • At least 5 years of proven management experience
    • Must be physically fit and able to work at heights
    • Must be able to work in confined spaces
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Extensive knowledge of power tools
    • Computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel)
    • Experience working with an Electronic Maintenance system
    • Experience with compliance to the Occupational Health & Safety Act
    • Sound communication skills (understand, read and write English)

    Job Requirements: 

    • Nursing Diploma/Degree
    • Occupational Health Nurse qualification recognised by South African Medical Council (South African Nursing council)
    • PHC qualification/experience
    • Spirometry, Audiometry and Visual screening (certified qualification a must)
    • HIV/AIDS certificate
    • Knowledge of driver’s medical
    • Registration with SANC/SASOHN
    • Experience in the treatment of Injuries on Duty
    • Dispensing license a must
    • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Valid Driver’s license and own reliable transport
