Are you organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about keeping mining logistics running efficiently? We are looking for a Logistics Controller to support the day-to-day coordination of on-site logistics operations. You will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of coal, managing transport schedules, monitoring stockpiles, and maintaining accurate logistics records.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily mine-site logistics activities, including weighbridge operations, stockpile management, truck movements, and transport scheduling.
Monitor inbound and outbound truck movements to minimise delays and maintain operational efficiency.
Ensure the safe handling and movement of coal while preventing contamination and maintaining compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Capture and maintain accurate logistics data using SAP (or a similar ERP system) and Excel, including load tracking, stock reconciliations, and trip records.
Identify operational issues and assist in implementing improvements to optimise logistics processes.
Work closely with transport contractors, machine operators, and site personnel to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Ensure all logistics documentation is completed accurately and on time.
Promote a strong safety culture and comply with all company policies and site procedures.
Minimum Requirements
3–5 years' experience in mining logistics, transport coordination, or bulk material movement (coal experience advantageous).
Experience using SAP (or a similar ERP system), Microsoft Excel, weighbridge systems, and stockpile logistics.
Good planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail with experience in reconciliations, trip sheets, and logistics reporting.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced mining environment.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well with contractors and operational teams.
Committed to maintaining high standards of safety, environmental compliance, and operational excellence.
As a Security Manager, you will be responsible to oversee the safety and protection of various mining sites. Implement security protocols, conducting risk assessments, coordinating with law enforcement, and training staff on security procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintaining good relations internal, external and with 3rd party contractor employees
Ensuring the rendering of security service deliver in line with SOP’s
Ensuring compliance and that all security officers meet contractual requirements as stipulated by the organization
Identification and mitigation of risks
Constantly evaluating the service levels provided and making recommendations to the client regarding the improvement of services
General management and supervision of security staff and operations, including rosters and posting of staff
Ensuring that all HR related queries are dealt with promptly
Investigating incidents and investigations
Attend meetings internal, external and with 3rd party contractor employees
Compile weekly, monthly and annual site incident reports
Control budget for security operations and monitor expenses
Stores, stock and asset audits to verify stock and minimise theft
Security service providers invoicing verification
Rental machine hours verification
Security infrastructure review and maintenance. Fulfil security operational expectations
Minimum requirements:
National diploma in security management will be an advantage
Grade 12
5 years’ experience in a similar position in mining
SAPS/Military experience an advantage
Must be familiar with all legislation relating to the position
Have investigating experience
Firearm Police competency – Handgun/Shotgun
Firearm training Handgun & Shotgun Business Purpose
Familiar with MHSA and the control thereof
Working knowledge of MS Office
Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures
Good interpersonal skills in order to liaise with client, community, SAPS and outside stakeholders
Experience in crowd/strike control be an advantage
PSIRA B grade or higher – Up to date PSIRA affiliating
Experience using relevant technology and equipment (CCTV)
