    Instrument Technician

    Role Purpose: 

    • To maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and control systems within a coal wash plant,  ensuring optimal plant performance, accuracy of measurement systems, and compliance with safety and operational  standards.

    Blaster - Coal Mine

    Role Purpose: 

    • As a Blaster, you will be responsible to execute drill and blast activities to facilitate the extraction of coal from the earth. Ensure that blasting operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established procedures and regulations.

    Key Responsibilities: 
    Blasting Operations: 

    • Perform drilling and blasting activities according to approved blast plans and safety protocols 
    • Operate drilling equipment to create blast holes of specified dimensions and angles 
    • Load explosives into blast holes using proper charging techniques and equipment

    • As a Stores Administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the storage, organization, and distribution of goods within a warehouse or store environment. You will also ensure smooth inventory management and operational efficiency.

    Mine Engineer

    • As a Mine Engineer, you will be responsible to oversee and optimize mining operations, ensuring safety regulations are adhered to, managing resource extraction, and implementing efficient extraction techniques to maximize production while minimizing environmental impact.

    Commercial Administrator – Coal

    Role Overview

    • Provide end-to-end commercial and administrative support across Purchase Order (PO) activity and transporter (road/rail haulage) administration contracts, performance monitoring, weight/mass reconciliation, and general commercial admin ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant transactions between the mine/commercial team, suppliers, and transporters.
    • This role sits at the intersection of procurement admin and logistics/contract admin, so the ideal candidate needs strong numerical accuracy, systems literacy, and the discipline to manage recurring reconciliations without errors slipping through.

    • Production output target: 350 pallets per shift.
    • Supervise Packing Plant operations.
    • Generate hourly and shift reports.
    • Ensure spotless housekeeping and cleaning in Packing Plant Lines 1 & 2 at the end of each shift.
    • Submit reports after every shift.
    • Oversee Bulk Bag operations.
    • Maintain discipline in Packing Plant Lines 1 & 2.
    • Ensure zero lost production time.
    • Minimise spillages and perform RCA where required.
    • Supervise department staff.
    • Coordinate and allocate duties to department staff to ensure effective operations.
    • Ensure the department meets production targets.
    • Conduct routine checks of all areas to ensure they are neat and orderly.
    • Assist with breakdowns and maintenance.

    Other

    • Perform any other related duties in the interest of CEMZA as instructed.
    • Work according to Integrated Environmental and Quality Management System requirements.
    • Work according to instructions and procedures pertaining to the assigned operational function.
    • Abide by all applicable legal requirements, company policies, and practices.

    Key Performance Indicators

    • Meet or exceed all relevant KPIs and Plant objectives.
    • Achieve the required production output of 350 pallets per shift.
    • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety, and discipline.
    • Minimise production downtime and spillages.

    Qualification & Experience

    • Senior Certificate.
    • Minimum 2–3 years' experience in manufacturing, preferably in the cement industry.
    • Experience in fabricating, fitting, and assembling structural components of mechanical systems, as well as maintaining and repairing machinery, will be an advantage.

    • Good housekeeping and cleanliness standards.
    • Ability to meet deadlines and production targets.
    • Team leadership and coordination.
