    Strategy and Operations Analyst

    About the Role

    • We’re on the lookout for a Strategy and Operations Specialist to partner directly with our CEO. This is a high-impact role suited for a curious, analytical thinker who thrives on transforming data and insights into strategic action.
    • You’ll play a key part in shaping company strategy, improving operational performance, and preparing executive materials for decision-making. Your work will span across market research, business case development, operational analysis, and supporting strategic presentations at board and partnership levels.

    What You’ll Do

    Market & Competitor Research

    • Research competitors, industry products, core metrics, and valuations to support strategic decision-making.
    • Identify new market opportunities and emerging fintech trends across Africa and beyond.
    • Deliver clear, data-backed insights that help refine product positioning and growth strategy.

    Strategic Insights & Executive Reporting 

    • Translate complex analysis into clear narratives and visuals that influence leadership decisions.
    • Create concise strategy decks and dashboards summarizing company performance, key metrics (e.g., transaction volume, merchant growth, unit economics), and market trends. 
    • Present regular updates on business health, competitive positioning, and strategic opportunities. 
    • Support the CEO in preparing for board meetings, discussions with internal stakeholders as well as external partners with comprehensive briefing materials.

    Business Case Development

    • Build detailed business cases to assess product readiness for market, ROI potential, and operational impact.
    • Model financial and performance outcomes to support investment or product launch decisions.
    • Evaluate partnerships, expansion, and automation initiatives from a strategic value perspective.

    Strategic Planning Support

    • Support the CEO and leadership team in annual strategic planning and business reviews. 
    • Translate business objectives into measurable goals and strategic initiatives. 
    • Model different strategic scenarios (e.g., market expansion, pricing adjustments, new product investments). 

    Tools, Data & Automation

    • Partner with data in using Power BI and other analytics tools to track KPIs, trends, and performance indicators.
    • Partner with data and amongst other teams to drive the use of AI and automation for improved decision-making and efficiency.

    Ad Hoc Projects & Strategic Ownership

    • Contribute to ad hoc cross-functional projects that advance Ozow’s strategic priorities.
    • Take ownership or act as the project champion for selected initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals and timely execution.
    • Collaborate across teams to drive delivery, track impact, and communicate progress to senior stakeholders and the CEO.

    Operational Tracking

    • Monitor the progress of key strategic and operational deliverables.
    • Partner with teams, where required, to identify blockers and drive resolution.

    What You’ll Bring

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Investment Management, or a related field (required).
    • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and financial models.
    • Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, and other business intelligence tools.
    • Solid understanding of financial and operational metrics relevant to fintech and digital payments.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in presenting data-driven insights to senior leadership.
    • Experience (or internship) in fintech, consulting, or financial services is advantageous.

    Head of Client Success

    • Ozow is seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Client Success to join our commercial team. This pivotal role leads and oversees all activities of the Client Success function, expanding and maintaining relationships with strategically important and high-value clients. The Head of Client Success is accountable for formulating and executing merchant retention, protection, and growth strategies - leveraging relationships, data, and insights to drive measurable impact. 
    • As a key member of the commercial leadership team, you will develop and strengthen relationships at an executive level, engaging in strategic discussions with merchant leaders around payment innovation and business growth. Assigned to Ozow’s highest-value customers, you will be directly responsible for achieving strategic account targets and sales objectives both individually and for the department, ensuring long-term client success and revenue expansion.

    Strategic Leadership & Growth

    • Develop and execute a client success strategy that drives sustainable growth, retention, and profitability across Ozow’s key merchant accounts. 
    • Build long-term, senior-level relationships with strategic customers, acting as a trusted advisor on payment innovation and digital transformation. 
    • Lead account planning and ensure alignment with Ozow’s commercial objectives, ensuring clients fully leverage our ecosystem of payment solutions. 
    • Identify and pursue cross-sell and upsell opportunities through a deep understanding of client business models, needs, and growth priorities. 

    Portfolio & Performance Management 

    • Own the performance of Ozow’s key client portfolio - setting growth targets, tracking results, and implementing strategies to achieve and exceed objectives.

    • Deep commercial understanding of payment ecosystems, digital business models, and emerging fintech trends. 
    • Excellent strategic, analytical, and financial acumen with the ability to derive insight from data to inform decisions.

    Senior Technical Test Engineer (Automation & Manual)

    • Ozow is looking for a Senior Test Engineer with a mix of Automation and Manual skills. You will be working with a team of passionate technology professionals, developing with modern technologies, and solving tough problems.

    You are an ideal candidate if you have:

    • 7 + years job-related experience 
    • Proven experience with tools such as SoapUI, Selenium, JMeter, etc.  
    • Experience working within agile frameworks such as Scrum 
    • Exposure to load or performance testing 
    • ISEB or ISTQB Certification (Foundation) (Not negotiable) 
    • Must have a 3-year IT diploma or relevant degree  

    Your skills and experience

    • Create and execute test plans within an agile environment 
    • Manage testing throughout the SDLC 
    • Map functional requirements to test cases 
    • Automate manual tests for applications 
    • Documentation and execution of acceptance, regression, functional and stress testing of the system 
    • Liaise with stakeholders to resolve test issues and application enhancements 
    • Risk-based testing and prioritisation 
    • Develop Software Test Specifications, test reports and validation protocols for unit, integration, and performance testing 
    • Review requirements, specifications, user documentation, and other projects documentation to assure the quality of the products and tests to be developed 
    • Ensure proper version control and configuration management 
    • Design and create test scripts to address areas such as software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability in preparation for implementation 
    • As a senior member of the team, the ability to provide mentorship and guidance is a must
