    Technical Sales Representative

    Responsibilities
    What we’re looking for:

    • Maintain, develop, and grow the industrial customer base across all categories by achieving revenue and volume targets as per Annual Operating Plan and drive the Industrial strategy plan

    Accountabilities

    • Achievement of revenue and volume target as per Annual Operating Plan
    • Achievement of 95% customer call rate
    • Achieve 90% strike rate – potential customer business
    • Obtain new business as per Annual Operating Plan
    • Manage debtors and stock – within reason.
    • Pull, analyze reports to drive continuous improvement on route
    • Advise production units on demand changes and buffer stock levels
    • Support company cost control
    • Comply with all functional and non-functional company policies and procedures, e.g., Sales; Health and Safety; etc.
    • Housekeeping and maintaince of company assets, e.g., Handheld Computers, Uniform, Mobile phone, etc.

    Qualifications
    What will qualify you for the role:

    • Certificate from the SA Chamber of Baking
    • Fluent in the English language
    • Maintain, develop, and grow the industrial customer base across all categories by achieving revenue and volume targets as per Annual Operating Plan and drive the Industrial strategy plan
    • 5 years working experience in FMCG environment, with 3 years in a selling role / selling experience
    • Previous sales experience withing bakery environment a definite advantage
    • Valid Code B driver’s license

    Operator: Production x2

    Job Overview:

    • Sort product by categories for different batches. Ensure all packaging, damage and stock processes are followed (SOPs).
    • Ensuring the correct mixing volumes is being mixed
    • Ensuring that mixing bowl gets to the tipper area for processing
    • Ensuring that the correct ingredients is being used in accordance with what needs to be mixed
    • Sort product by categories for different batches
    • Ensure all packaging, damage and stock processes are followed (SOPs)
    • Communication with supervisors regarding an issue on shift
    • Record each batch number correctly per ingredient on the mixing sheet
    • Adhere to food safety regulations to minimise risk to the product
    • Follow all safety regulations accordingly (PPE, working safely etc.)

    Qualifications

    • Minimum: NQF 4 or Grade 12 or similar relevant qualification
    • 1-2 years manufacturing experience

    Stacker x4 (Temporary)

    Job Overview:
    A Stacker is responsible for stacking packed products, ensuring that the pallets and products confirm with food safety standards.

    • Checking the printer for good working operation.

    Procurement Category Manager: Facilities & G&A - PepsiCo Park CDC Snacks-ZAF

    What we’re looking for:

    • This role will be responsible for the procurement of Facilities services (Cleaning services, Security services, Temporary labor, Staff transport and -non-GP managed white space) services est. $42MM p.a. across SA BU. Sourcing various services such as cleaning services, Security services, Temporary labor, Staff transport and -non-GP managed-white space.
    • Responsible to execute aligned strategy for the SA BU.
    • Design and implement specific technical platforms and supplier competitive Tension programs that will deliver further competitive advantage for the PepsiCo MU’s and bring programs to Sector benchmarks.
    • Lead evaluation of all pricing offers for RFP’s, by building sophisticated comparative pricing models and provide recommendations to category leaders.
    • Create and implement Value Engineering / Productivity pipeline for SA – leveraging Sector process and program
    • To deliver minimum 8% productivity p.a. from the compressible spend portion of $42MM SA spend.
    • To develop a pipeline of productivity initiatives with SA more than 8% p.a.
    • Establish CVA/commodity splits & pricing mechanism for all SA services – isolate commodity/regulated portion of the costings in order to create a cost strategy that provides effective risk management.
    • Provide PSP / AOP for SA region & track monthly to ensure we operate within agreed budgets.
    • Provide technical leadership to the SA supplier base and be a driver of change and performance improvement for the business in line with Commercial and financial priorities. This includes providing capability to respond to the business need for niche & new requirements, regional sourcing requirements and the need to comply with regulatory and environmental demands for.
    • Co-operation with Legal Department to ensure the most beneficial contract terms for PepsiCo, preparation of the contracts and coordinate signing contracts are met.
    • Delivering daily purchasing needs for the category through supplier contracting.
    • Manage supplier relationships with key strategic and non-strategic suppliers for category.
    • Manage and develop project procurement timeline and be key gatekeeper in all the critical Purchasing tasks to ensure on-time plan launch.
    • Develop and implement category BCP to mitigate supply risks.
    • Responsibility of productivity project identification, implementation, and monthly tracking.
    • Leading implementation of category strategy and sourcing plans for the BU;
    • Supplier management:
    • Supplier selection in line with purchasing strategy for the scope: Participation in the local and regional supplier evaluation process and negotiation with suppliers

    • Maintaining the SQA & Sustainability requirements

    • Evaluate & evolve sourcing strategy based on changing market conditions and provide inputs during strategic sourcing activities, including internal and external analysis and negotiations.
    • Keep close tracking of productivity pipeline to cover any risks to the plan.
    • Support commodity reporting; maintain price & inflation/deflation database including internal and external data.
    • Supplier liaison for supplier quality assurance program.
    • Deliver on agreed objectives and KPI’s to ensure successful category strategy implementation.

    Qualification

    Fitter (Temporary)

    Job Overview:

    • The main purpose is primarily to ensure maximum plant availability through effective preventative and planned maintenance and will accordingly attend to all breakdowns, diagnosis (using different problem-solving techniques) and conduct the necessary repairs and mechanical modifications and sign off work done as meeting required standard.

    Conducts diagnosis of equipment failures

    • Works with and through technicians and other employees to establish mechanical and equipment performance before breakdowns were reported
    • Establishes whether the equipment breakdown is related to a missed planned maintenance or part failure or human interference
    • Uses any of the problem (finding and) solving techniques like 5-Whys, RCA, decision trees etc to pinpoint the real problem behind failures/breakdowns
    • Completes job card in consultation with the maintenance planner and requisitions a part or modifies mechanical parts depending on the outcome of the above

     Conducts preventative maintenance

    • Performs defined and/or ad hoc condition monitoring on mechanical equipment
    • Completes documentation relating to work done for future reference in the event of failures
    •  May replace parts in the event of noted probable failures to ensure continuous equipment running
    • Continuous reference to equipment drawings, engineering standards and GMPs in the performance and closing out of jobs done

     Planned Maintenance

    • Ensures that scheduled maintenance in terms of Engineering plans is conducted as prescribed following defined protocols and compliance to GMPs
    • Ensures that machined spares are available as and when required and shall schedule time to execute this one
    • Completes job cards and parts requisition documents timeously to improve on mean time to repair thus ensuring high plant availability

    Plant Breakdowns

    • Attends to all mechanical plant breakdowns following or informed by diagnosis conducted under point 1 above
    • In the event of mechanical modifications, follows defined procedures in updating relevant documentation and equipment records
    • Proactively escalates equipment problems to ensure minimal time stoppages
    • Maintains IPS standards on the respective lines
    • Clearly demarcates workstation in accordance with procedures in the event of major work to minimise disruptions and possible injuries as a result of human traffic and area being used as thoroughfare
    • Adheres to AIB and relevant food safety programmes and environmental protocols
    • Completes documentation of work done and close out on ad hoc call outs
    • Updates parts/spares records in conjunction with the stores (OEM, machined and generic spares/parts)
    • Monitors equipment performance after attending to and fixing problems

    Qualifications

    • Qualified Trade Tested Fitter
    • Min N3 Engineering Qualification
    • Min 3 years post trade test experience within a manufacturing environment
    • Good mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fault-finding skills
    • Ability to prepare and read mechanical schematics
    • Ability to carry out basic welding, machining and drilling
    • Working knowledge of lifting equipment e.g. chain blocks, hydraulic jack
    • Fully conversant with Environmental, Health and Safety Standards
    • Responsible for Technical Assets
    • Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office and maintenance software (SAP preferably)
