    Route Services Supervisor

    Purpose:

    • To manage the Route Patrol Services, administer the Contact Centre and Incident Management System (IMS) to ensure full compliance with the companies contractual obligations, the Company Policies and Procedures, provide accuse information to process insurance claims, ensure a safe road for the road users, and maintain relations of the highest quality with all emergency services along our route.

    Qualifications, Skills and Required Competencies to meet the Job Outcomes:

    • Manage a team of Patrol Drivers, Communications Clerks and Fleet Administration Assistant
    • Manage shifts
    • Grade 12
    • Based in or around Pretoria
    • Any managerial certificate would be advantages
    • Valid Unendorsed Code 08 Drivers License
    • Required to drive a light motor vehicle on a daily basis in any weather condition.
    • At least 1-2 years related experience in a similar role
    • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
    • Interpersonal relationship skills
    • Assertiveness and Self-management
    • Knowledge of road assets
    • Time management and strong administrative skills
    • Computer literacy skills
    • Traffic management skills
    • The daily physical demands are those required of an office worker.
    • Time will be spend at accident scenes and as such cannot be overly sensitive to the characteristics of an accident scene.
    • The successful candidate will be required to be available for standby purposes every evening and every weekend.The candidate should be willing to be Standby 24/7 on call.
    • The road span over an area of ±380km.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Ensure shift handover / vehicle handover report is completed.
    • Ensure proper patrols on the highway takes place to determine damage to the road and road furniture.

    • Respond to SOS calls and serious accidents / incidents that lead to, or may lead to closure of the N1N4 Bakwena Highway.

    • Prepare and present all relevant reports as prescribed.
    • Ensure shift rosters that comply with legal obligations are drawn up and adhered to.
    • Ensure salaries are paid timeously and correctly paid by complying with the Company Manpower Procedure.
    • Ensure the vehicles are maintained in such a manner that they will be safe to use and will portray a positive Company image and that of our client.
    • Ensure that the Patrol Drivers’ attire and uniforms portray a positive Company image and that of our client.
    • Ensure subordinate staff is motivated by ensuring job enrichment, training, development and proper internal communication takes place.
    • Ensure that subordinate staff is issued with all the relevant equipment and maintain the equipment in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety and security at work.
    • Ensure disciplined subordinate staff by following the Company Disciplinary Procedure and Code of Conduct.
    • Ensure excellent relations with the road users and emergency services staff are available at all times.
    • Take responsibility for the performance of the call centre and the quality of service provided to all the departments receiving a service from the call centre staff.
    • Coordinate call centre staff functions and workload to ensure that the route patrol support functions, public queries (e-tag and general) and complaints are dealt with professionally and to the satisfaction of the Operations Manager.

    Group Operations Manager

    Main Job Purpose

    • To manage the toll collection operations and route services on specific toll road projects as determined. This must be carried out in accordance with legal requirements, contractual obligations, and the company’s policies and procedures to ensure uninterrupted service of the highest quality and integrity, while maintaining strong customer relations with road users and our Employer.

    Employment Specification

    Education & Experience (minimum requirements to perform the job):

    • School : Grade 12
    • Post School : Operations Management Higher Diploma (or any related tertiary qualification)
    • Job Related : Valid Unendorsed Code 08 Drivers License
    • Experience : At least 8 years related experience
    • Required competencies to meet the job outcomes:

    • Knowledge of the toll collection process and toll road environment will be advantageous

    Physical Demands & Work Environment

    • The daily physical demands are those required of an office worker and be able to move around in fairly confined spaces on the toll plaza premises.
    • The applicant will be required to have a valid driver’s license.
    • The Operations Manager will be required to frequently travel across the project to visit toll plazas and other sites.
    • Due to the nature of the industry, the Operations Manager will be required to be available 24/7 to respond to emergencies and manage critical situations. This may be necessary during peak periods, including weekends and public holidays.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • All duties take place in accordance with the contractual requirements of the project and all its annexures, legal requirements, Occupational Health and Safety Act and other relevant legislation and company policies and procedures:
    • Ensure compliance with contractual, legal, Occupational Health and Safety, company policy, and procedural requirements across all operational activities.
    • Oversee toll collection operations to ensure efficient service delivery, operational integrity, and effective control of toll plaza stock, property, and equipment.
    • Prepare, obtain approval for, and manage capital and operational budgets, ensuring sound financial control and maximising shareholder returns.
    • Manage departmental financial controls in accordance with contractual, legal, company, and audit requirements.
    • Forecast traffic volumes and staffing requirements timeously to support effective operational planning and resource allocation.
    • Ensure appropriate health, safety, and security measures are implemented and maintained at all plazas.
    • Maintain accurate administration, records, reports, and statistics as required by the contract and the company.
    • Build and maintain sound working relationships with road users, the client, the Independent Engineer, service providers, and relevant government departments.
    • Lead, manage, and develop operations staff through performance management, job enrichment, training, mentoring, coaching, and effective internal communication.
    • Plan and deliver departmental training in conjunction with the HR department.
    • Ensure operational policies and procedures are updated and communicated timeously.
    • Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of departmental services.
    • Coordinate and manage special projects as required from time to time.

    Junior Tax Administrator

    Duties:

    • Assist with the preparation and submission of tax returns for individuals and companies
    • Capture and maintain accurate tax records and client information
    • Support VAT, PAYE, and provisional tax calculations
    • Liaise with SARS regarding submissions, queries, and follow-ups
    • Track tax deadlines and ensure timely compliance
    • Support senior tax consultants with administrative and compliance tasks

    Requirements:
