    Distribution Manager - Bushbuckridge

    Purpose of the Role:

    Your primary goal will be to ensure efficient distribution processes to meet customer service levels and sales targets while adhering to safety, health, and food safety standards. Collaborating closely with various departments, you will drive continuous improvement and effective communication throughout the distribution network.

    Minimum Requirements    

    Education and Qualification:

    • Matric
    • Diploma/Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management preferred.

    Knowledge and Skill:

    • Strong organizational and analytical skills
    • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
    • Excellent communication and leadership abilities

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Distribution Strategy: Collaborate with Bakery Manager to develop and implement innovative distribution strategies.
    • Product Management: Oversee receiving, storage, transfer, and management of products to maintain integrity and maximize customer service.
    • Loading and Off-loading: Ensure timely loading of trucks and maintain accurate records of goods received and dispatched.
    • Route Planning: Conduct regular reviews to optimize route efficiency and minimize costs.
    • Enterprise System Utilization: Make effective use of Syspro environment for financial controls.
    • Communication: Maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams.
    • Debrief Processes: Lead daily debrief processes to review sales, service levels, and operational metrics.
    • Reconciliations: Ensure daily completion of despatch recon documents and investigate any discrepancies.

    Business Intelligence Officer - Western Cape

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Advanced Diploma / Diploma/ Degree in Programming / Computer Science/ Information Systems, Mathematics / Statistics.
    • 3-5 years sales systems / data analysis experience
    • Strong foundation in data manipulation and analysis using SQL
    • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau
    • Experience in Retail Portal systems will be advantageous
    • Must be based / reside  in the Western Cape

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Business Performance Reporting
    • Create, analyse and distribute weekly/ monthly Portal reports to internal and external stakeholders (where applicable)

    • Compile Principal and Buyer Business reviews for use by Management
    • Ensure that ad hoc requests are adhered to within a 72-hour timeframe dependent on the type of analysis required

    Risk Control

    • Ensure strict confidentiality at all times
    • Ensure data security when sending data files to recipients
    • Assist with managing users and user roles related to BI platforms and/ or Portal access

    New Business Support/ Business Change Initiatives

    • Provide support for the development of the preliminary business case to support investment
    • Report and provide recommendations regarding new business and/ or change initiatives
    • Drive reporting and post implementation reviews to the business

    Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence Platforms

    • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/ data systems

    Maintenance Assistant

    Minimum Requirements    

    Education

    • Grade 12

    Skills

    Despatch Clerk

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12/ Matric certificate.
    • Valid forklift license.
    • Knowledge of receiving and despatch principles and procedures.
    • Knowledge of warehouse-based business processes and practices.
    • SAP knowledge is important for the role will be highly advantageous.

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    Checking and Despatching of Stock

    • Adhere to vehicle checklist  before loading, check vehicle cleanliness, ensure pre-cooling has been done, temperature spec control has been checked and ensure that the vehicle meets the customer requirements for off-loading.
    • Check that the selected stock matches against that to be loaded for accuracy against the customer’s order and correct any loaded variances / disparity.
    • Ensure that stock to be despatched is done in an efficient, compliant, and timely manner and ensure the correct snake loading procedures are followed then accurately seal truck with a numbered seal after loading.
    • Collate completed loading documents for capturing into the system (eg: SAP or Syspro).
    • Record loading start and finish times, record pallets and all other returnable packaging dispatched onto the truck and assist with the Trip Recon process by ensuring that all required documents are provided daily to the Despatch Supervisor,

    Accepting Stock from Production

    • Accept stock from production by, checking that lugs are packed correctly and stacked correctly onto dollies, dollies are packed full where possible, different stock for different customers and regions are not mixed and ensure stock has been checked by QC.
    • Isolate stock to be returned to production in readiness for quality to check before sending back when required.

    Accepting Stock from Outside Storage facility

    • Receive stock held at offsite facilities, particularly in peak periods. for defrosting and despatching on to the customer an ensure that it matches the paperwork required.
    • Complete visual checks for damages.
    • Advise the Planning and MRP Co-ordinator on stock received and provide the necessary documentation.

    Stock Take and Housekeeping

    • Check that stock is placed in the correct places within the despatch area to make stock count as easy as possible.
    • Ensure that high levels of housekeeping are maintained, all issues are reported to the Despatch Supervisor and  that all housekeeping paperwork is correctly filed and stored at all times.
    • Assist in the stock count process as required monthly or in weekly cycle counting.

    Customer Equipment (lugs and dolleys) and Returnable Packaging

    • Ensure that customer equipment/ returnable packaging matchesthat which is recorded on the customer’s paperwork when being collected.
    • On completion of checking, It should be captured on the system and relevant recons.
    • All discrepancies that cannot be resolved need to be escalated to the Despatch Supervisor

    Effective Teamwork and Self-Management

    • Take ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrate effective self-management in terms of planning and prioritising, and self-development.
    • Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of work are consistently and accurately maintained.
    • Inform relevant parties in the event of tasks or deadlines not met, the potential risks thereof and provide appropriate resolution.

    Transport Manager

    Job Description

    • Responsible to ensure an effective management of workshop, depots and staff.
    • Responsible to ensures that total fleet is maintained and in good running condition and within budget constraints.
    • Responsible for effective fuel costs and to ensure that vehicles are running at the desire optimum cost.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric or equivalent (N4)
    • EC drivers’ licence

    • FMCG experience (Advantageous)

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Oversee transport, workshop departments and all depots, including assets and employees
    • Plan and implement budgets
    • Plan, Motivate and Implement Capex Replacements
    • Maintain Vehicle Asset Register.
    • Source cost effective parts and ensure on time delivery by securing reliable suppliers
    • Develop relationship with suppliers.
    • Daily recon of all fuel used to ensure that target fuel usage margins are maintained
    • Ensure all fleet is available for Distribution on a daily basis including spare units.
    • Schedule all services, repairs and ensure parts availability
    • Maintain and repair fleet as per OEM and FOSA requirements
    • Downtime to be kept to a minimum. (Daily VOR)
    • Verify and sign off job cards in the workshop including depots.
    • Manage performance of employees with emphasis on productivity, efficiency, and service delivery – using RCL Standards of Leadership and Our Way
    • Train, motivate, coach, and mentor transport and workshop employees
    • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in the workshop.
    • Weekly Depot visits to ensure that standards are maintained at Depot level.
    • Ensure the workshop staff adhere to all Health and Safety Regulations.
    • Ensure that workshop staff adhere to all Food Safety Regulations.
    • Oversee and approve of all parts purchased in the workshop.
    • Monitor fuel reserves and order timeously.
    • Weekly and Monthly Fuel Recons to balance all diesel stock for month end.
    • Ensure stores stock availability, complete monthly stock take and balancing.
    • Ensure that all drivers adhere to the National Road Traffic act, daily monitoring of speeding, misuse of any company vehicles and implement corrective action
    • Monthly tyre surveys and sourcing of the correct tyre application for the fleet
    • Monthly tyre reconciliation and document tyre performance and utilization on the total fleet including depots
    • Ensure recapped stock is returned to Workshop Stores
    • Daily and Monthly Tyre Stock Recons
    • Monthly Tyre scrapping reports
    • Daily and Weekly Vehicle inspections
    • Ensure that all vehicle checklists are complete and closed out.    
    • Ensure that company pool vehicles are monitored and tracked to avoid abuse
    • Ensure optimum utilization of all trucks and Feeder trucks
    • Ensure that a proper cleaning register is maintained
    • Monthly Workshop Expenses breakdown down and average cost per / km is calculated and monitored monthly. (CPK)
    • Report incidents and accidents, investigate and implement preventive measures
    • Close out all accidents with Insurance administrator within time
    • Maintain fleet image. (Mechanical, Branding and cosmetics)
    • Monitor and track staff KPI’s
    • Comply with BU procedures and policies.
    • Staff Training analysis and implementation
