    Buyer (Packaging)

    About the role

    • Reckitt is on the lookout for an experienced Buyer who manages a portfolio of packaging materials and drives the delivery of value through effective sourcing, supplier collaboration, and procurement processes. The role contributes to operational efficiency, service reliability, and continuous improvement by applying established purchasing strategies, tools, and best practices.

    Your responsibilities

    • Following the strategy, sourcing and contracting of suppliers to achieve an adequate supplier base.
    • Execute strategies of globally led commodities.
    • Identify, select and develop supplier relationships and manage negotiations within the assigned portfolio.
    • Prepare the budget predictions for the managed materials and will be accountable for meeting those predictions.
    • Monitor and identify risks and opportunities in each sourcing process, driving mitigation and contingency plans to ensure continued supply of the materials/services.
    • Accountable for the quality and service of the suppliers, driving improvement strategies through Productivity, Squeeze and E-Procurement.
    • Monitor commodity feedstock information and market dynamics to exploit commercial advantages.
    • Develop and maintain strong strategic relationships with suppliers at senior management level, positioning the organisation as a preferred customer and driving mutually beneficial partnerships.
    • Build and sustain effective relationships with regional and manufacturing supply teams to understand business needs and priorities, enabling continuous improvements in material cost, service levels, and quality performance.
    • Design, review, and negotiate supplier contracts in collaboration with the Legal team to safeguard intellectual property, mitigate commercial and supply chain risks, secure innovation exclusivity, ensure material availability, and deliver sustainable cost savings.
    • Ensure governance which includes compliance to Global Operating Model, pricing and expense approvals, PPV reporting and analysis and full use of Ariba and Anaplan tools.

    The experience we're looking for

    • Degree in Supply Chain / relevant degree
    • Minimum 4 -5 years experience in a multinational FMCG company with detailed understanding of packaging cost drivers
    • Experience with SAP and PowerBI
    • Proven track record of understanding the vendor base in local / international markets as well as understanding the commodity drivers.
    • Experience in data and trend analysis

    Senior Mgr. I&A - Africa

    About the role

    • Step into the world of Reckitt as Senior Mgr. I&A - Africa this role is a strategic regional position focused on embedding the consumer voice into decision-making across South Africa and Sub‑Saharan Africa. Beyond executing research, it requires strong strategic thinking to translate global insights into locally relevant actions that drive sustainable growth.
    • The position partners closely with Marketing, Trade, and Commercial teams across multiple brands, helping to shape strategy, set priorities, and ensure consumer and shopper insights guide planning and execution. Success in the role depends on the ability to navigate ambiguity, challenge assumptions, and deliver clear, evidence-based recommendations in a fast-paced, emerging markets environment.     Your responsibilities

    • Lead the consumer and shopper insights strategy across South Africa and Sub‑Saharan Africa, aligned with regional business goals.
    • Develop and execute integrated research plans for brands and markets, balancing local needs and priorities.
    • Act as a senior partner to Marketing, Sales, and Leadership to shape strategy, portfolio decisions, and activation plans.
    • Translate continuous and syndicated data into clear insights on brand and channel performance drivers.
    • Understand GTM Excellence levers or Consumer Health and Consumer Packaged Goods pillars and be able to elevate measurement maturity - identifying (What) and activating (How) opportunities on these KPI's
    • Deliver and synthesize primary research into compelling, actionable recommendations for business growth.
    • Challenge assumptions, embed consumer truth in decisions, and build strong supplier partnerships while supporting team capability development in a fast-paced environment.

    The experience we're looking for

    • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Psychology, Statistics, Engineering or a related field preferred.
    • 8–12+ years’ experience in Consumer Insights, Analytics or Market Research roles.
    • Significant hands-on experience across Sub-Saharan Africa markets (e.g. South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya and/or similar).
    • Must have a background in Consumer Healthcare and/or FMCG either directly at the client side or partner agency.
    • Strong experience working with retail panel analysis, and Point of Sale / Customer data analysis.
    • Experience leading or feeding into customer JBP's would be an advantage.
    • Experience operating in large, matrixed, multinational organisations.
    • Strong strategic thinking capability with the ability to connect consumer and shopper insight to business growth outcomes.
    • Highly numerate, excellent communication skills and the ability to connect the dots and data story telling. 
    • Proven ability to influence without authority and partner effectively with senior stakeholders.
