    General Purchasing Specialist

    Job purpose

    The position will require you to source general expenditure (mostly services) at the best price from suppliers and to ensure service levels meet site requirements. Look for opportunities to consolidate services from different sites to obtain the best market offering. To ensure alignment with all responsible sourcing requirements.

    Responsibilities

    • Analyze spend to gather user requirements and identify opportunities to consolidate services from different sites.
    • Launch tender processes to centralise service offering with the purpose of reducing overall costs and limit multiple suppliers supplying the same service.
    • Ensure as much as possible that all spend on general services have a contract in place.
    • Deliver successful projects where nominated as the project leader or project member.
    • Drive the resolution of all central supplier queries (payments, poor service etc.) and lead negotiations of contractual terms.
    • Support Saint-Gobain’s common goals and vision by working with local and global team members, cross functional teams, other departments and functions to deliver on commitments.
    • Adhere to all Saint-Gobain’s policies and procedures and proactively educate the business on purchasing procedures and systems.
    • Take lead of all responsible sourcing topics including ensuring all suppliers charters are signed, suppliers participate in Ecovadis and purchasers complete mandatory training.
    • Log and resolve claims logged against suppliers.
    • All such duties and/or activities assigned by management/board as and when required.

    Required skills and knowledge

    • 3-5 years experience in a strategic sourcing or procurement related role.
    • Assertive, well spoken with good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Good interpersonal, relationship and people management skills.
    • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
    • Customer focused
    • An efficient and organised individual.
    • Influencing skills.
    • Team player.
    • Resilient, able to work under pressure, accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations.
    • Responsible in dealing with company resources.
    • Analytical thinking and using logic to address work-related issues.
    • Knowledge of administration and management principles.
    • Knowledge of general expenditure and stakeholder requirements.

    Qualifications

    • 3 year degree BCom Degree / Diploma
    • SAPICS / CIPS Certification advantageous

    Digital Marketing Specialist

    Job purpose

    • To take ownership of the development and implementation of all digital marketing initiatives for both Corporate and Product Brands.

    Responsibilities

    • Develops multiplatform digital marketing strategies by working closely with the Product Management team to understand broad product strategy and ensure full alignment and optimization of each
    • Plans and executes all web, SEO/SEM, database marketing, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns.
    • Measure and report on performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
    • Develop, analyze, make recommendations, and establish key metrics to ensure digital marketing channel support of product owners’ goals and corporate strategic objectives
    • Perform quality control measures on campaigns to ensure accuracy, brand consistency, and adherence to corporate marketing standards
    • Stay up-to-date with new digital technologies/tools and provide ideas that enhance web, email, and social media efficiency and effectiveness
    • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
    • Collaborate with internal teams, agencies and vendors to create landing pages and optimize user experience
    • Identifies critical conversion points and drop off points and optimizes user funnels.
    • Plan and run conversion testing and other experiments.
    • Own the use of our marketing technology platforms.
    • Coordinate content strategy and creation of content elements across teams and agencies
    • Act as our community manager on our social media accounts.
    • Work with the sales team on lead qualification, marketing-to-sales handoff processes, etc.
    • Oversee paid media advertising campaigns on Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, and so on.
    • Act as the owner of our website performance, with a focus on optimizing for search and user experience. 

    Required skills and knowledge

    • 3yrs+ digital marketing, brand management or digital agency experience
    • Proven ability to plan and execute all digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, A/B testing and display advertising campaigns
    • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environment
    • Have a good understanding of what creative will work well in each channel
    • Experience of taking key campaign creative and working to repurpose and optimise assets
    • Excellent understanding of the numbers – and aware of how performance marketing campaigns impact overall business results
    • Good interpersonal skills – being able to explain to others, including senior leaders, what impact marketing is having beyond clicks and views
    • Enjoy coming up with ideas and testing them in-market
    • Experience of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Aurea, Adobe Analytics & Jira advantageous but not essential
    • Highly organised, creative, analytical and inquisitive, with excellent attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, writing skills a must
    • Ability to develop good working relationships internally and externally

    Qualifications

    • Relevant Marketing B.degree
    • AdWords, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram or other Social media marketing qualifications highly advantageous
