    Key Responsibilities:

    Asst Officer Remuneration

    Job Purpose:

    Key Responsibilities:

    Drop Raise Operator UG

    Job Purpose:

    • To operate and maintain drills and associated equipment in an efficient, productive and safe manner.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Drop Raise Operations  Ensure the safe transportation/ moving of equipment.  Safely setting up drill as per special instruction and survey note.  Safely operating the drill including but not limited to locating collar of hole; controlling balance between rotation and penetration of rods, taking gas readings as per standard; Midshift barring; ensure correct alignment with front and back sites, offsets, depth and set drill at correct angle; establish supply of air and water; change drill bits when required.
    • Equipment Maintenance & Optimization  Ensure maximum quality in any given ground condition.  Practice a preventative maintenance program and ensure the equipment is kept in optimum condition.  Ensure maximum life out of drilling tools and consumables.  Change drill bits when required (do not over drill).  Make recommendations/suggestions for improvements to equipment that would result in a more efficient, safer and more productive operation.
    • Compliance & Safety  Comply with all environmental regulations and related Legislation.  Comply with applicable site specifics and requirements at operations in Anglo Platinum  Perform related tasks as required e.g. in-hole surveys  Clean and restore old drill sites to the best condition possible as per specified requirements.  Adhere to all end of shift procedures including Desludging holes; remove one rod from hole; pull machine upwards to the motor of the cradle; fill the lubricator as per special instructions and dismissing of the crew.

    Job Purpose:

    • To perform higher-level development and shaft surveying assignments that require complex survey knowledge and skills, assist with layout construction, and report on all findings in the prescribed formats.

    Minimum Required Qualification:

    • NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate for Adults).
    • Chamber of Mines Advanced Survey and Valuation Certificate.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Survey services  Conducting surveys according to plan.  Planning, Leading, Completing Check Surveys and Associated Gyro Base Surveys.  Reporting on results, identifying deviations and recommending corrective action according to policies, guidelines and procedures.  Planning and scheduling resources required to meet Survey work output plans, as well as the necessary logistics to ensure the achievement of targets e.g. pro-active planning of team deployment, materials and equipment.  Maintaining appropriate administration, record keeping, reporting, control, and reconciliation systems in line with department’s requirements through the contribution of Survey activities (e.g. survey records, progress reports and measurements), interpretation of Survey data for production units improves mining compliance and standards and to enhance the detection and reporting of deviations from plan and metal accounting issues.     Ambulance Driver UG

    • Ambulance Driver must report to control room/responsible Foreman at the start of the shift and provide Ambulance number including the status thereof. Completion of the Pre use inspection checklist of the Ambulance . Reporting any defects found on the machines in line with the pre use checklist . Inspect and ensure availability of First Aid equipment such as strecher , first Aid bag and Blankent. Ambulance Driver must report breakdown /damages to control room immediately without the delay and record on the pre used checklist. Ensure that brake test is conducted in line with brake testing procedure . Must ensure that the green sticker ( weekly brake test)is valid.Ensure safe operation of the ambulance under emergency situations, adhering to traffic management rules governing the ambulance.Provide assistance to Emergency Management Teams and paramedics with lifting , securing, and transporting patients ( Including on stretchers). Must provide First Aid to the injured . Report the status of the injured /sick employee . Ambulance arrival time and departure time .Ensure proper communication with control room including medical staff. Ambulance must be properly washed before end of shift. Must ensure that the Ambulance is parked at designated area in accordance with parking procedure
