    Specialist: Functional Application Support

    Purpose of the Job:

    • To provide Functional Application Support services related to specific clients and application systems according to service elements as specified in the applicable service level agreements.

    Key Responsibility Areas:

    • To provide Business Advisory Services.
    • To provide functional application support services.
    • Provide implementation support.
    • Transfer skills to team members.
    • Provide Integrated Management information support solutions to clients and management.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Minimum: 3 Year Diploma / Degree in ICT or a related field/ NQF level 6. Candidates with Grade 12 that have 5 - 6 years Functional Application Support/System experience on the specific HI (Health Informatics) application may apply.
    • Experience: 5 - 6 years Functional Application Support/System experience on the specific HI (Health informatics) application.

    Technical Competencies:

    • Has a thorough knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and business aspects of the application(s) supported. A good knowledge of technical aspects of the application system(s) and the hardware and software environment(s) in which they run. Good understanding of the client business processes policies and/or business operations. Analyse the current business processes and scenarios of the client and recommend/develop solutions to meet the clients’ needs. Acts as liaison with client for troubleshooting: investigate, analyse, and solve software problems and map client business requirements, processes and objectives. Perform functional user acceptance/system testing against the test plan to ensure optimal functionality of the application. Providing advice to users on the application systems’ functionality to ensure optimal functionality of applications. Provide specialised services and integrated solutions to applications area within a discipline to functional needs/requirements to ensure optimal usage of the application. Provide management information support solutions to clients and management to assist them in planning and decision making. Demonstrates good oral and written communication skills. Ability to implement and monitor methodologies, processes, procedures, standards, and productivity and quality management. Information System experience will be an advantage. The successful candidate should also possess the following behavioural competencies: Leadership ability, customer service orientated, innovative, team player, pro-active, diligent worker, process orientated and punctual.

    Specialist: Service Operations (Problem Management)

    Purpose of the job

    • To develop, implement, optimise, and influence Incident / Request / Event / Access Management/ Problem Management processes / systems to influence service delivery by applying Service Operations aligned to the ITIL Service Lifecycle, relevant ISO standards, and COBIT Governance to Government enabling effective service management, to support the management of BA, SLAs, OLAs, and underpinning contracts.

    Key Responsibility Areas

    • Implementation of ITIL Life Cycle stage (Service Operations) relevant to all types of Incident / Request / Event / Access/ Problem Management issues raised against SLA / OLA and underpinning contract requirements and highlight areas of performance risks in order to provide excellent service delivery
    • Monitoring and evaluation of Incident / Request / Event / Access/ Problem Management requirements life cycle against SLA requirements and mitigation of risks
    • Provide input in planning and facilitating Incident / Request / Event / Access / Problem Management audits
    • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders in managing the Incident / Request / Event / Access / Problem
    • Management life cycle processes
    • Monitoring and evaluation of all escalation mechanisms with regard to the management of risk to enable consistent effective service delivery and performance
    • Manage critical and high impact Incident / Request / Event / Access Management requirements
    • Detect, Analyze, Process problems (RCAs) and evaluate, categorized and prioritized problems
    • Facilitation and administration of Problem Management Forum.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum: 3-year National Diploma/ Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/ NQF level 6.
    • ITIL Practitioners Certification, ITIL Foundations Certification is an added Advantage.
    • Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in Service Management principles related to Incident / Request / Event / Access/Problem Management good practice methodologies. Experience of working in a team and involvement in project management delivery concepts. Experience in dealing with customers. Experience in Customer Service Level and Relationship management.

    Software Developer

    Purpose of the job

    • To research, design, install, test and maintain and enhance software systems write and coding of individual programmes in accordance with ICT standards and the enterprise architecture for Government.

    Key Responsibility Areas

    • Develop/ Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency using SITAs software development stack/ development framework
    • Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met
    • Produce detailed specifications and writing the programme codes
    • Maintain the integrated IT software components systems once they are up and running; and
    • Develop integrated technical service specifications for single or multiple software components to clearly set direction for procuring or building software components.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum: 3 years Diploma / Degree in ICT (Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology and Engineering) or related field.
    • Experience: 3 - 5 years’ experience with full software development lifecycle (SDLC), within systems development, implementation and maintenance / enhancements of solutions in the corporate sector organisation.

    SharePoint experience should include:

    • Installation, upgrade and configuration of SharePoint hybrid environment. Design, development, administration, support and maintenance of SharePoint on premises and SharePoint online. . Plan, design and implement SharePoint security including, but not limited to, authentication, security roles, user groups, audiences, and item level security.
    • Troubleshooting of functional and technical incidents occurring within SharePoint hybrid environment. Strong understanding of Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps), powerBi, SharePoint PowerShell scripting and C#.
    • Maintaining technical documentation that supports SharePoint hybrid environment

    Purpose of the job

    • Design, planning, acquisition and implementation of all related Server Infrastructure Services. Support and maintenance of all Server related Infrastructure including hardware and software. Manage the provisioning of all

    • Certification in MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, or Azure Administrator Associate.
    • Experience: 3 - 5 years’ experience as a Server Administrator in the provisioning, support and maintenance and support of all Server related Infrastructure such as Enterprise Directory Services, virtualization and server infrastructure technology stack. Experience in working within the ITIL Framework for Incident, Problem, Change, or Service Experience in the design, planning, implementation of an Enterprise Server solutions and services.

    HOD: Legal Services

    Purpose of the Job:

    • To lead and manage the Legal Services function by providing strategic legal advice, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, managing litigation and contractual risk, protecting SITA’s intellectual property and organisational interests, and enabling sound governance and decision-making by Executive Management and business units.

    Key Responsibility Areas:

    • Lead the provision of strategic and professional legal advisory services to support legally sound decisionmaking across SITA’s governance, executive, commercial, and operational structures.
    • Manage legal governance, compliance, and regulatory risk by developing appropriate legal controls, advising on applicable legislative and governance frameworks, and ensuring that SITA identifies, mitigates, and manages legal and regulatory exposure across the organisation.
    • Oversee contract drafting, review, and legal vetting by ensuring that all contracts, service level agreements, memoranda of understanding, commercial agreements, and legal documents are legally sound, protect SITA’s interests, and comply with applicable legislation, policies and delegations of authority.
    • Manage litigation, disputes, and claims by overseeing legal proceedings, developing appropriate litigation strategies, managing external legal service providers, and implementing preventative measures to reduce
    • SITA’s exposure to claims, disputes, penalties, and legal risk.
    • Protect intellectual property and organisational legal interests by overseeing the registration, monitoring, and enforcement of SITA’s intellectual property rights, advising on ownership, licensing and infringement risks, and ensuring that innovations, software assets and proprietary information are legally protected.
    • Support public procurement, ICT and technology-related legal matters by providing legal advice on procurement processes, supplier contracts, software licensing, data protection, cybersecurity, digital services and strategic technology projects to ensure legally sound, fair, transparent and compliant transactions.
    • Lead policy review and legal alignment by guiding the review, development and implementation of organisational policies, frameworks, procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency, enforceability and compliance with applicable legislation and governance requirements.
    • Lead and manage human resources by ensuring effective workforce planning, performance management, capability development, employee engagement, resource allocation, budget control and alignment with SITA’s strategic priorities.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Minimum: LLB degree or equivalent legal qualification. Admitted as an attorney or advocate. Registration or membership with a relevant legal professional body will be advantageous.
    • Experience: Admitted attorney or advocate with at least 10 years’ post-admission corporate, commercial or public sector legal experience, including a minimum of 4 years’ senior management experience.
    • Experience must include extensive contract law / law of contracts, contract drafting, contract negotiation, contract risk management, legal advisory services, litigation management, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, public procurement support, labour law, legal risk management and stakeholder advisory at executive level.

    Technical Competencies:

    • Foundational & Regulatory Legislation: The constitution of RSA, Legal Practice Act 28 of 2014 and Code of Conduct for Legal Practitioners.
    • General Litigation and Procedural Law: Superior Courts Act, Magistrate Courts Act, Criminal Procedure Act, Law of Evidence Amendment Act.
    • Commercial, Corporate & Property Law: Extensive knowledge of contract law / law of contracts, Companies Act, Insolvency Act, etc.
    • Labour Law: Labour Relations Act, BCEA, Employment Equity Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Skills Development Act, Codes of Good Practice.
    • Administrative law: Promotion of Access to information Act, Protection of Personal Information Act, Public Procurement.
    • Financial Legislation: PFMA, Treasury Regulations, Tax law, Income Tax, SARS directives financial management, Arbitration Public procurement Drafting of legal documents Intellectual property knowledge.
    • ICT Related legal: ICT law, cybersecurity, software licensing, intellectual property.
    • General Knowledge: The role also requires knowledge of legal research, dispute resolution, arbitration, and litigation, drafting of legal opinions, policy review, legislative interpretation, legal risk management, people management, stakeholder management, and the management of external legal service providers.
