    Pharmacy Stock Controller_PWID (Nelson Mandela Bay)

    Purpose of the position:

    • The stock controller is responsible for ensuring the timely supply of essential health products and other inventory items, as well as coordinating the maintenance of healthcare equipment in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational requirements

    Minimum Requirements

    Peer Educator

    Purpose of the position:

    •  To conduct out-reach activities to reach MSM community by providing accurate health information, mobilization of MSM to the mobile unit and linkage to care. The peer educator  is responsible for providing peer support to all patients already on HIV treatment, and those beginning their treatment journey. Providing telephonic support and follow-ups. The incumbent should also be tracing Pre ART, and treatment interrupters with the aim to bring them back and re-engage them to care. They will also be responsible for providing education and information around treatment and care to all patients. Providing information and support to participants (new and existing) in the decanting programme as well as rendering psychosocial support counselling and mentoring on a regular basis resulting in adherence and retention to care.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Peer educators should be coming from MSM community

    Experience:

    • A basic understanding of HIV testing and/or counselling
    • Experience working with community structures especially in HIV education and mobilisation

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Coordinate with client engagement officers to identify patient that need support.
    • Be able to provide simple and relevant HIV/TB information to service users in a clear, convincing, and age-appropriate manner.
    • Register and maintain all patients on ART onto the appropriate data collection registers/tools.

    Finance Manager (Fixed Term Contract in line with Funding )

    Purpose of the position:

    • The Finance Manager will be responsible for overall financial management, audit and compliance, reporting, stakeholder management and staff management. This role focuses primarily on Western Cape Government and other small projects within the organisation.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • CA (SA) and at least 3 years’ experience in finance, accounting, budgeting and management; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • At least 2 years post articles experience
    • Knowledge of financial accounting systems (e.g. SAP)
    • NPO and funded environment experience

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Purpose of the position:

    • To capture incoming clinical related data on client rendered services from the mobile and outreach teams; maintain electronic database/s for data captured; check data correctness, completeness, consistency and verify data by liaising with relevant staff and performing routine data quality checks and assessments.

    • Peer educators will come from the communities in which they are working so will know where key and priority populations meet and youth structure
    • Peers will conduct mobilizing by using all the mobilization strategies trained on and ensure that they meet their daily mobilization targets and record in the mobilization register.
    • Peer educators will enter all beneficiaries mobilized into the case management register
    • Peer educators will provide virtual and face to face support according to the needs of the key and priority populations.
    • Referrals are based on the needs arising using the resource directory.
    • Supports the team in assessing the needs of key and priority populations in relation to HIV prevention, linkage to care and adherence to treatment and implements effective case management strategies.
    • Submits mobilization and case management tools weekly to NIMART Nurse, who verifies and validates and submits to data capturer to capture on electronic case management register
    • Peer educators will get weekly feedback on case management status from peer coordinators.
    • Lobbies and advocates for priority and key in relation to HIV, gender and related issues.
    • Attends training and workshops as part of staff development.
    • Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and case management
    • Assist in implementation of support groups
    • Submits monthly reports to the supervisor

    District Coordinator (uMzinyathi,Zululand&aMajuba ) Fixed Term based on Funding X3

    Purpose of the position:

    • To ensure the effective implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of Adolescent and youth Program (AYP) interventions with a special focus on the comprehensive package of sexual health services, TB, STI screening, diagnosis, HIV prevention, treatment and continuity of care.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Degree or Diploma in Nursing (General, Midwifery, Community nursing, Psychiatric nursing) or equivalent
