Our client, which has been well known for its exceptional export services for over 50 years based in Cape Town is currently looking to add an Application Support Specialist to its team.    The Application Support Specialist will be responsible to translate business unit needs and functional requirements into technical application requirements. They are also responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users of an organization’s software applications. They ensure that the applications are running smoothly and efficiently and that users are able to complete their tasks without interruption.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate technical application requirements to various stakeholders
• Conduct user acceptance tests
• Adapt new ways to improve processes within applications to automate processes and improve efficiency
• Document configuration changes done
• Create content for end users and train staff
• Adhere to ITIL processes at all times
• Resolve incidents on the incident management system/ log and monitor calls in the ticket tracking system
• Troubleshooting and bug-fixing; conduct root-cause analysis and ensure corrective actions implemented
• Implement monitoring requirements
• Produce progress reports on assigned metrics
• Monitor the ticket tracking system

Minimum Requirements

• ITIL Frameworks knowledge essential
• Report writing skills a mandatory
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving experience
• Experience with dealing with multiple stakeholders

Our conglomerate client within Financial Services is currently seeking a Network Manager to join their team on a 12-month contract. The Network Manager must have the ability to configure, optimize and deploy Cloud-based VPNs, SASE, SD-WAN Management, Cloud Network Sockets, Wi-Fi, PPPOE and infrastructure network components layer 1 to 6.

Key Responsibilities:

• The successful candidate will require skills around software-defined firewalls, Zero-trust environments and management of least privilege for network security and access are critical. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network management, including designing and implementing computer networks, maintaining network security, and managing network personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• Completed 3 years Degree/Diploma in IT or Related
• 5+ years’ experience
• Extensive experience in network management, including network design, implementation, and maintenance
• Experience with network security, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and encryption
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
