    Distribution Manager

    Who You Are

    • You are comfortable working with numbers (Volumes, Margins, Market Shares…)
    • You have Sub Sahara Africa work experience in Sales & Marketing/Operations/FMCG
    • You have developed market strategies for Sales Markets or Sales Sectors (B2B & B2C).
    • You have the ability and experience to develop pricing strategies for different sectors of the market.
    • You have business development experience in terms of driving/delivering new and maintaining established business.
    • You are an expert at converting technical knowledge to business results.
    • You are passionate about adding value to Engen at an integrated level
    • You have excellent BI skills. (Ability to extract volumes, costs, margins from the ERPM SAP system and present it in a simplistic way)
    • You have a reputation for working under pressure and taking initiatives.

    What You Have Done Before

    Baseline:

    • NQF Level 7 (Degree or Advanced Diploma in Science, Marketing or related)
    • Deep knowledge of Lubricant and/or related business sectors
    • Knowledge of managing distributors
    • Ability to work on your own with initiative, drive and resolve
    • Experience in Implementing distributor strategies  for market sectors

    Advantageous:

    • Sub Sahara Africa work experience
    • FMCG work experience 
    • Knowledge of export and Import process
    • Ability to work successfully in an ever-changing environment and navigate ambiguity
    • Analytical ability to interpret data and compile trends
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others.(Supply Chain, Marketing, Credit)
    • Ability to manage distributor pricing

    • You will be communicating with Senior Leaders in the Lubricants division of Engen.
    • You will be creating the platform for new thinking and ideas. With new ideas come intense resistance and negativity. Your fortitude will turn the tide towards the success that the Lubes Division desires

    What You Will Be Doing

    • Manage distributors in different territories that make up Sub Sahara Africa
    • Drive new & established business development through distributors in the different territories that make up Sub Sahara Africa
    • Ensure ownership and control of financial contribution of Distributors to ensure growth in volume and profit.
    • Develop and implement plans aimed at maximum value extraction from the Distributor network by significantly gaining market share in the area of operation thereby gaining new accounts and collaborating on marketing support initiatives with the Engen Lubes group to grow the business
    • Identify opportunities to review the product mix and increase profitability within the Distributor network (Syntium, Dieselube 600S, Durance car care range)
    • Build and strengthen relationships within the Distributor network assisting them to on sell by providing marketing collaterals, support, product training, promotions, forecourt training etc
    • Develop promotions and incentives with distributors to grow Petronas Syntium and other key brands through association with the FI sponsorship.
    • Collaborate and identify opportunities with the distributors to leverage off national key accounts in Engen to secure common RSA/SSA business opportunities.

    Purpose of the job

    To drive the execution of transactional sourcing and end-to-end order-to-pay process for items less than or equal to R3M in line with Procurement processes and policies to ensure the delivery of business requirements and performance.

    • Experience in Procurement buying and Procurement SAP System

    What You'll be doing

    PROCURE TO PAY MANAGEMENT

    • Execute procure-to-pay processes less than or equal to R3M by implement transactional sourcing and supporting the supplier’s selection process and quotations and support the negotiation process for transactional sourcing to ensure delivery of business needs.
    • Approval of RFQ/RFP/RFI aligned to LOA

    NON-STRATEGIC SOURCING CATEGORIES SUPPORT

    • Perform non-strategic sourcing categories through preparation of documents (RFI, RFQ, RFP) and perform bidding process and create & manage contracts to ensure delivery of business needs

    PROCUREMENT COMPLIANCE

    • Monitor process and compliance for transactional PO’s and contracts through management of contract compliance including ownership of open and post facto purchase orders and performing procurement processes to ensure PO' s are complete for execution.

    DATA MANAGEMENT AND REPORTING

    • Manage data and provide accurate information and reports through analysing and reporting on all procurement transactions to ensure performance and delivery against set targets and to ensure data integrity.
