    Machine Operator

    Introduction    
    To ensure the safe and efficient operation of the machine ensuring a high quality product with low wastage within set parameters.

    Specification    
    Key Accountabilities and Outputs
    Responsible for Process control and efficiencies

    • Correct operation of equipment as per the training and machine manual.
    • Achieve set factory waste and efficiency targets.
    • To hand over from or to the previous or next shift regarding the machinery (breakdowns, products run) in conjunction with the supervisor decide on downtime scheduling
    • To check the quality of raw materials used in production and also the end product according to the quality control policy. This includes a constant interaction with the Quality controller.
    • To clean the machines according to TPM cleaning schedules.

    SHE and Risk Officer

    Introduction

    Job Purpose

    • To ensure functionality and availability of all electrical equipment in the factory, to install/supply power to new equipment and to assist with the maintenance of the factory.

    Key Accountabilities and Outputs

    Electrical Maintenance

    • Applies electrical theory and related knowledge to test and modify operational electrical machinery/ electrical control equipment/ circuitry in the plant
    • Assembles and tests motor control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings. solenoids and other electrical equipment/ components according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles
    • Diagnoses cases of electrical/mechanical malfunctions or failure or expansions
    • Develops wiring diagrams for systems or equipment modifications or expansions
    • Assists with general plant maintenance with the maintenance team
    • Conducts daily running and repair of plant machinery as per instructions
    • Performs electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, electronic and cooling system maintenance on all machinery including high speed machinery and PLC
    • Assists with breakdowns and attends to call-outs according to the operational requirements
    • Greases machinery as per maintenance schedule

    Adherence to the health, safety, food and environmental standards

    • Staff shall adhere to all Food Safety Policies and PRP’s and shall adhere to and enforce all food safety requirements at all times

    • Visitor and Contractor Policy – staff shall ensure that visitors or contractors entering the facility are signed in, escorted and wear PPE, are aware of the hygiene policies and do not smoke, eat or drink inside the facility
    • Code of Practice – staff shall maintain high levels of personal hygiene in accordance with the code of conduct
    • Handwashing Procedure – Ensuring staff are cleaning and sanitizing hands efficiently before handling the product.
    • Physical Contamination Control Policy and Procedure – Staff shall be aware of the potential of physical product contamination. Staff is aware of control measures to prevent physical contamination
    • Safety, Health and Environment Policy – Staff take reasonable measures to ensure health and safety hazards do not occur. Should an accident occur, staff shall be aware of the procedure of reporting the incident.
    • First Aid Policy – Staff are aware of the first aider on site. Staff is trained to report injuries and illness to supervisors/first aiders.
    • Conversant with relevant business information, policies, processes and procedures

    • Enforce compliance with relevant legislative and statutory requirements
    • Enforce GMP’s and conduct themselves in a manner conducive with food safety practices

    QC Supervisor

    Introduction    
    To ensure the supervision of the quality control lab and staff, raining non-conformance reports, and enforcing food safety compliance on shop floor, food defence, housekeeping and food fraud. The role also enforces good hygiene practices and effective chemical management.
