    Quality Manager

    Introduction    
    This role is accountable for managing onsite QA activities, ensuring that QA policies, procedures and guidelines are effectively implemented and that agreed quality standards are met.
    Specification    
    Key Accountabilities and Outputs

    • Quality Assurance Systems and Procedures
    • Contribute to establishing and maintaining an operational QA Framework of practices, processes, policies and procedures, standards and controls
    • Ensure site wide understanding and buy-in thereof
    • Perform quality assurance assessments and recommend corrective actions
    • Perform quality assessments on key business functions / processes
    • Recommend mitigations and drive the resolution of quality issues / concerns
    • Assess and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of application, operational controls, procedures and processes
    • Help identify weaknesses in exiting practices, processes, policies and systems
    • Critically evaluate controls in place, identifying risks and create suitable solutions
    • In cases of non-compliance, liaise with the relevant authority for management decision making
    • Follow-up and monitor the implementation of corrective plans and initiatives
    • Provide regular updates on all corrective plans and initiatives being implemented within region of responsibility
    • Assist with maintaining the quality register
    • Support leadership to implement corrective plans and initiatives where required
    • Escalate any recurring deviations and/or non-compliance issues at the appropriate next level
    • General Business, Financial and People Management
    • Actively participate in operational planning and budgeting processes
    • Drive continuous improvement through streamlining and optimising relevant operational practices, processes and systems
    • Ensure adherence to operational and financial frameworks of practices, processes, standards and controls
    • Control cost and take the necessary action to mitigate any financial risks or non-compliance
    • Ensure that the right people capacity is in place and manage employee performance through effective and goal directed people leadership

    Requirements    
    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelors Degree (3 years) / NQF level 7 (Essential)
    • Up to 6 years experience (Supervisory) Quality Systems; Food Safety;
    • MS Excel; SAP; MS PowerPoint; MS Word; E Mail
