    Artisan Assistant:Lampsman (Hay Level 10/B3)

    Key Performance Areas

    Preventative Maintenance

    • Undertake preventative maintenance according to the planned maintenance schedule on lights and electrical equipment
    • Complete documentation in terms of inspection lists
    • Request time from the Production department (customer) as necessary in order to do inspection and complete necessary jobs
    • Submit to supervisor all jobs done and give feedback.

    Corrective Maintenance

    • Keep stock of all lighting accessories and attend to maintenance issues prior to start-up of production to ensure adequate lighting
    • Undertake urgent maintenance immediately and other corrective maintenance per job request for lights.
    • Ensure availability for overtime duty.
    • Assist artisans as and when required.

    New installations

    • Adhere to Artisan instructions
    • Undertake small ad hoc lighting installations (construction) as required
    • Make sure there is enough spares

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    Education:

    • Grade 10-12/ N1-N3

    Experience: 

    • At least 1 year experience in Electrical and lamp installation.

    General:

    • Physically fit to work on heights such as building, towers, rooftops, etc.
    • Be able to use hand tools.

    Storeman (Hay level 10/B3)

    Key Performance Areas

    Ensure the effective functioning of the tool store

    • Manage the tools store, quality and availability of tools and equipment.
    • Issuing and receiving of tools.
    • Inspection, marking and replacement of tools.
    • Obtain quotes for new tools.
    • Expand tool inventory.
    • Request and collect items at YM stores using workflow system.

    Manage the critical spare inventory within maintenance

    • Provide accurate weekly feedback to management on critical spare inventory to fill up stock levels in time.
    • Use critical spare inventory lists to monitor stock levels.
    • Hand in documentation on time to the planning office.
    • Manage the PPE (clothing) for Maintenance Services.

    QMS system / processes, work instructions and procedures` adherence

    • Proactively identify and reports risks, problems, and opportunities central to operational success.

    Maintenance Services – Courier service and PPE management

    • Provide accurate and timely courier service and reports to management and customers
    • Deliver and collect stock, equipment, and spares from YM and Receiving depot.

    Engraving and/or scanning functions

    • Quality engraving functions on new tools and equipment

    Communication with stakeholders.

    • Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience: 

    • Grade 12 certificate.
    • Basic computer skills.
    • Tool store and equipment management experience.

    Advantageous requirements:

    • Microsoft Outlook literacy.
    • Basic Coswin literacy.
    • Driver’s license.
