    Manager: Quality Assurance

    Main Responsibilities (not limited to):

    • To contribute towards departmental strategies, formulate functional goals and manage implementation thereof.
    • To manage the configuration of documents, to ensure that changes are implemented effectively by the relevant departments.
    • To lead the Quality Assurance function in promoting a culture of high-Quality performance throughout the organisation.
    • To manage Integrated Management System (IMS) audits, corrective and preventive actions in order to ensure continuous improvement.
    • To ensure ISO certification is maintained through documentation, registration and maintenance of departmental processes and compliance thereto.
    • To maintain a robust change management process to ensure effective change control for changes that have impact on product quality.
    • To identify needs and define systems to improve performance of the Quality Management System.
    • To contribute towards the compilation of departmental budget and ensure that expenditure is within limits.
    • To ensure quality of final product meets customer expectations.
    • To manage performance and development of direct reports, and motivate them in order to achieve functional objectives.
    • To develop and maintain sustainable business relationships with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure effective implementation of the SHEQ management system.

    The Preferred Candidate is likely to have

    • BSc. or B-Tech degree in Quality Management, Chemical Engineering or equivalent (Essential)
    • TQM - (Essential)
    • Lead Auditing Certification - (Essential)
    • 5 years’ Quality Assurance experience within Manufacturing environment and at least 3 years in a team leader role (Essential)

    Accountant: Project & Manufacturing Cost

    Main Responsibilities (not limited to):

    Project Accounting

    • Provide direction to ensure a sound Project Financial Management Framework that will support the strategy of the South African Bank Note Company in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS® Accounting Standards).
    • Develop and implement a Project Financial Management Framework to ensure sound financial governance of all projects.
    • Develop and implement Project Investment Decision-Making Models to be used by the business to inform sound financial decision making.
    • Develop and monitor project costs against budgets and cash flow forecasts on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance to approved budgets.
    • Ensure compliance to all financial policies and procedures within projects and provide financial risk management guidance.
    • Prepare comprehensive management accounts and report monthly to the relevant stakeholders on projects.
    • Coordinate and ensure project capital costs are correctly budgeted for by stakeholders on an annual basis.
    • Participate in the procurement tender development and adjudication process and evaluation and benchmarking of tenders to ensure alignment to tender scope and objectives.
    • Conduct post implementation financial assessments of projects to ensure that the financial objectives set out in the business case have been achieved.
    • Provide support and financial guidance to internal and external stakeholders on project financial management related matters to optimise the company’s financial performance and business opportunities.

    Manufacturing Cost Accountant:

    • Review the use of the ERP system on the production floor to ensure accurate reflection in the Manufacturing Accounting Module.
    • Investigate and prepare product variance analysis and commentary to ensure accurate reflection in the monthly management accounts.
    • Conduct reasonability tests to explain under and over recovery of costs.
    • Monitor the production flow to ensure the correct valuation of waste.
    • Develop and implement cost accounting policies, procedures, and reports to ensure standardised accounting.
    • Prepare annual and monthly phased production budgets and forecasts to ensure accurate reflection in the management accounts.
    • Review usage variances to ensure accuracy of the Bill of Materials.
    • Review Bill of Material to ensure the latest manufacturing practices are applied.
    • Ensure compliance with IFRS® Accounting Standards, applicable legislation, policies, standards and laid down procedures.
    • Act as a primary Finance Business Partner about production matters.
    • Prepare annual and monthly phased production (Ink and Paper) budgets and forecasts to ensure accurate reflection in the management accounts.

    The Preferred Candidate is likely to have:

    • BCom Honours or relevant B-Degree Honours in Accounting or Management Accounting (or equivalent)
    • CGMA registered with AICPA & CIMA
    • A minimum of 6 - 8 years of financial experience, of which 4 years must be in a management level role (Essential).
    • Knowledge of the printing industry (added advantage).

    Administrator: Payroll

    Main Responsibilities (not limited to):

    • To accurately calculate and prepare all salary related information for payroll processing for the relevant period.
    • To accurately process all salary related information on the SAGE People Payroll system.
    • To resolve all salary related enquiries from employees and third parties.
    • To prepare, validate and ensure the accuracy of Group Life and Post-Retirement Medical Aid information for actuarial valuation purposes.
    • To prepare and reconcile third party payments to the payroll on a monthly basis.
    • To reconcile all payroll related general ledger control accounts including explanations for reconciling items
    • To prepare year-end external audit working papers for directors and executive remuneration, provisions and disability accruals.
    • To prepare, validate and ensure the accuracy of statutory submissions for Stats SA.
    • To comply with relevant taxation, BCEA and other legislation including policies and procedures of the SABN.

    The preferred candidate is likely to have:

    • Grade 12/NQF equivalent with Accounting and Maths (Essential)
    • Post-school Payroll qualification (Desirable)
    • 2-4 years of core experience in an HR administrative OR Payroll environment (Essential)

    Accountant: Financial

    Main Responsibilities (not limited to):

    • Manage the implementation of financial policies and procedures to ensure accurate reporting.
    • Provide accurate financial reports including variance analysis to ensure accurate financial data.
    • To manage the full financial accounting function including: Debtors, Creditors, Fixed assets, Bank and Cash, Journals, Reconciliations, Statutory returns, Departmental budgets and forecasts and Financial year-end in order to ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS® Accounting Standards), applicable legislation, policies, standards and laid down procedures.
    • To manage and develop staff performance in order to achieve set objectives and standards.
    • Planning and co-ordination of year-end statutory audits.
    • Compile annual financial statements and ensure compliance to IFRS® Accounting Standards, legislation and South African Reserve Bank (SARB) requirements.

    The Preferred Candidate is likely to have:

    • BCom Honours or equivalent degree at a SAICA accredited university
    • CA (SA) (Essential)
    • Minimum of 6 to 8 years financial management experience of which 4 years need to be in a management role.

    Assistant Accountant: Manufacturing & Projects

    Main Responsibilities (not limited to):

    Manufacturing Accounting

    • To document and maintain the standard process costing system including policies and procedures.
    • Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the bill of materials and individual product costing.
    • Analyse variance against standards including reasons and assist with action plans.
    • Ensure accurate stock valuation, including raw materials, work in progress, cost of sales and the valuation of waste.
    • Ensure the revaluation of stock from standard to actual at financial year-end.
    • Maintain the integrity of the inventory and production modules in the ERP system.
    • Conduct monthly inventory counts and reconciliation to the inventory modules.

    Project Accounting

    • To ensure adherence to a sound Project Financial Management Framework (PFMF) that will support the strategy of the company in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
    • To provide guidance on the Project Investment Decision-Making Models used by the business to inform sound financial decision making.
    • To monitor project costs against budgets and cash flow forecasts on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance to approved budgets.

    The Preferred Candidate is likely to have:

    • B Comm (Hons) Accounting or Management Accounting or equivalent
    • CIMA or studying towards CIMA will be advantageous
    • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in manufacturing/costing accounting.
