    Executive: Regulatory Services

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

    •  Develop and manage the implementation of divisional strategy and annual performance plans;
    •  Permit administration and management.
    • Cross-border road transport regulation.
    •  Stakeholder relations management.
    •  Research and knowledge management.
    •  Establish viable and feasible cross-border road transport business and financing regulatory model, and
    •  People Management and budget.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Formal Qualifications:

    • Degree or NQF level 7 qualification, preferably in Law or related discipline
    • Post-graduate degree qualification at NQF level 8 in Law or Transport Management or related discipline will be an added advantage

    Experience:

    • 10 years’ experience in a road transport regulatory environment.
    • 5 years at Senior Management level and interaction with Regulatory Bodies will be an added advantage.
    • Extensive, up to date knowledge of Transpo-related legislation, in the SADC region

    Executive: Law Enforcement

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

    • Develop and facilitate the implementation of the strategy and annual operational plan for the Division that supports strategic direction of the C-BRTA.
    • Oversee the Road Transport Inspectorate operations, including business and staff performance.
    • Oversee execution of law enforcement interventions on all cross border corridors.
    • Provide leadership on the Profiling capability and development of business intelligence in law enforcement.
    • Oversee the management of functional skills development and external activities coordination.
    • Manage the 8 regional offices of the C-BRTA throughout RSA.
    • Provide advise to the CEO, the regulatory committee and the Board on matters related to Road Transport Inspectorate.
    • Facilitate compliance with corporate governance principles, and ensure the development and implementation of policies.
    • Provide regional leadership on regional integrated law enforcement initiatives.
    • Ensure that the Divisional plan correlates with the approved operating budget and ensure successful execution thereof; and
    • Prudently manage the organisation’s resources within budget guidelines and relevant legislation.

    Formal Qualifications:

    • Degree or NQF level 7 qualification in Law Enforcement or Traffic Policing or related discipline
    • Post-graduate qualification at NQF level 8 in Business Administration or related discipline will be an added advantage

    Experience:

    • 10 years experience in road transport law enforcement
    • 5 years experience at Senior Management level in law enforcement, stakeholder management and road transport environment
    • Extensive, up to date knowledge of Traffic management, C-BRTAct, applicable transport legislation in the SADC region

    License Issuing Administrator

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    The successful candidate will be expected, among others:

    • Issue temporary and annual permits to the compliant applications
    • Permit stationery administration
    • Ensuring compliance of permit application on Cross Easy Online Permit System
    • Providing Efficient Customer Service

    Requirements

    Formal Qualifications:

    • NQF level 6 in Transport Management/Logistics or Transport related qualifications.

    Experience:

    • 1 – 2 years customer service-related experience
    • Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
    • Administration skills
