    Occupational Health Nursing Practitioner

    Job Specification:
    Key Performance Areas:

    • Examine, diagnose and treat presenting illnesses and injuries
    • Records accurate and confidential medical information for patients
    • Primary health care given to all employees within our scope of practice
    • Refers to outside agencies/Day hospitals for specialist treatment
    • Daily health education, one on one with regard to Health and wellness
    • Ordering of drugs and medications within surgery budget which is controlled by the clinic as well as assist
    • with the forecasting of the budget requirement
    • Conducts medical surveillance programme which includes: Entrance employment medicals, annual
    • medicals, job specific annual medicals for cold store and hyster drivers
    • Identify and treat infectious diseases which could impact on the quality of our product
    • Ensures that annual audiograms are conducted on all employees who enter a noise zone
    • Close liaison with Risk Department regarding injuries on duty
    • Liaise and refer to doctor on all cases of possible disability
    • Conduct monthly hypertension and family planning clinic weekly
    • Responsible for ordering and re-stocking First Aid boxes
    • Manage Costs effectively
    • Ability to work varying shifts, across different I&J sites
    • Ability to accurately update and maintain records
    • Work across sites within 10km radius

    Minimum Requirements:
    Experience:

    • 5 years in an Occupational Health environment
    • Primary Health care experience
    • Emergency Care and Emergency drugs exposure and experience
    • Injury on duty management

    Qualifications:

    • Registration with the SA Nursing Council
    • General Nurse - NQF level 4
    • Valid Dispensing License
    • Certificate in Reproductive Health Care
    • Degree in Occupational Nursing
    • Membership of S.A.S.O.H.N ( Society of Occupational Health Nurses)
    • Spirometry/Audiometry

    Additional requirements:

    • Knowledge of COID & OHS Acts
    • Knowledge of legislation applicable to health services

    Clinic Assistant

    Job Specification:
    Key Performance Areas:

    Manage Nursing Care of staff and provide emergency care within confines of scope:

    • Organising daily clinic appointments, with files for booked patients
    • Hands on assistance with various monitoring procedures e.g. blood pressure, finger prick blood tests for
    • cholesterol and glucose and drug testing.
    • Weight, height and BMI calculation
    • Daily wound dressings
    • Assist with the administration of annual SAMSA medicals

    Administration:

    • Front line triage of un-booked walk in patients as urgent, or booked by appointment
    • Communicating with supervisors and departments with regard to mandatory annual medicals and
    • audiometry Testing
    • Assisting the social worker by calling employees for appointments
    • Administration of all W.C.A. claims, monitoring injuries on duty for progress reports and finalization of
    • claims, reporting via COID link
    • Replenish the stock of the First Aid boxes for both shore & vessels alike

    House Keeping:

    • Daily cleansing and sterilization of clinic equipment
    • Re stocking of trolleys for procedures

    Minimum Requirements:
    Experience:

    • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Clinic Assistant or Paramedic (ILS/ECT)
    • Occupational Health experience will be advantageous
    • Enrolled nursing assistant and / or Paramedic Qualification (ILS/ECT)
    • Basic life support training will be advantageous

    Qualifications:

    • Grade 12 / Matric
    • Enrolled nursing assistant and / or Paramedic Qualification (ILS/ECT)
    • Basic life support training will be advantageous

    Additional requirements:

    • Basic First Aid / IV administration and Nebulization experience
    • Basic medical knowledge

    Vessel Service Operator

    Job Specification:
    Key Performance Areas:

    • Removal of items off the quay
    • Assists with moving of the vessels

    Engineering Buyer

    Job Specification:

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Use Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) as a complete system to create and expedite orders for critical spares
    • Keep accurate inventory of spares within agreed targets by adopting stringent re-order principles
    • Monitor and compile capex expenditure and supplier evaluation reports
    • Adopt a three-quote system to source the most cost effective spares at the right quality
    • Execute imports buying of capital equipment by creating Purchase Orders (POs) timeously
    • Manage vendor database and update master data for the site buying team
    • Manage and control critical spares in the factory (stock items replenishment)
    • Initiate workflows for new material masters and new vendors
    • Liaise with suppliers and Accounts Payable department with regard to invoice queries
    • Source competitive pricing through the (Request for Quotation) RFQ process (engineering spares and services)
    • Expedite delivery of orders to ensure that the factory equipment downtime is minimized (On Time In Full)
    • Management of obsolete or redundant material
    • Management of non-stock materials
    • SAP maintenance including open POs and requisitions, MRBR daily and view all invoices that are blocked for payment

    Experience:                                                                   

    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Engineering Buyer or Technical Buyer
    • 3 years of working experience within an FMCG environment
    • Experience in engineering/spares environment

    Qualifications:

    • A relevant completed tertiary qualification in Purchasing, Procurement, Logistics or Stores Management

    Additional Requirements:

    • Demonstrated purchasing experience in the technical or engineering field
    • Sound Excel proficiency
    • Working knowledge of SAP essential
