    Cashier

    Job Summary:

    • To handle customer transactions and operate the cash register at the Pharmacy. The incumbent receives payments from customers in return for goods purchased and issues receipts in an accurate and timeous manner ensuring the prevention of financial risk to the Group.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent with mathematics.
    • 1 year Cashier experience.
    • Administrative and office knowledge.
    • Administrative support in a hospital environment would be advantageous.

    Minimum Job Requirements:

    • Collect and archive scripts, ensure to separate acute from chronic.
    • Prepare spreadsheets of soon to expire stock or excess stock for the Responsible Pharmacist on request.
    • Receive tax invoices from Pharmacist/Dispenser at front desk for patients/customers.
    • Responsible for daily banking for Pharmacy utilising approved systems:
    • Reconciliation of journals and cash received.
    • Ensure journals are cleared appropriately in the accounting system.
    • Receive payments (cash, credit or debit card) and issue receipts to patients/customers – receipting of payments to be completed. immediately as per the Group’s policies and procedures.
    • Conduct daily Cash-up at the end of the shift.
    • Complete the banking with the relevant person in Finance.
    • Balance cash received daily and complete bank deposit slip.
    • Transfer small amounts below R20.00 into levy account.

    Payroll Assistant

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Diploma in HR or Payroll.
    • 1-2 Years experience in Payroll.
    • Knowledgeable in Payroll processes.
    • Healthcare experience is advantageous.

    Minimum work experience:

    • Provide administrating support to payroll administrators and manager
    • Contribute to the processing of monthly and weekly payroll for differently contracted employees and agency staff
    • Prepare monthly payment schedules and payment requests
    • Prepare all UIF documentation in support of terminations, maternity leave and other applicable processes
    • Ensure all employees are registered with JEM
    • Maintain confidentiality of payroll information and employee records
    • Provide clarity on Payroll issues raised by various stakeholders
    • Ensure timeous resolution of stakeholder queries and complaints and take ownership of issues
    • Ensure complete, timeous and accurate reporting with appropriate levels of escalation to enable effective decision-making
    • Perform monthly reconciliations of all payroll accounts
    • Maintain electronic employee records

    Electrical Artisan

    Job Summary 

    • To monitor, manage and maintain the technical department at a CHG hospital site. The incumbent is responsible for the maintenance of the equipment and facilities management and ensures the availability of all relevant machinery and equipment.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • Electrical or Mechanical Diploma
    • National Trade Certificate
    • Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience in a hospital/healthcare
    • Computer literacy
    • Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
    • Management of daily job cards.
    • Knowledge of R158 Building regulations with specific reference to Hospitals and theatre specifications as well as industrial kitchen
    • A good working knowledge of PFC and stand-by power facilities
    • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change
    • Good planning and organization skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change
    • Willingness to work overtime when necessary

    Minimum Job Requirement 

    • Conduct daily checks on all hospital machinery and equipment to ensure all are working well
    • Adhere to preventative maintenance schedules and recommend adjustments / changes where applicable
    • Ensure that jobs are carried out as per job card instructions
    • Perform new electrical installations and upgrades on existing machinery and equipment
    • Conduct daily routine preventative maintenance checks
    • Ensure compliance to maintenance protocols and standards
    • Ensure work performed / executed is per health and safety standards
    • Identify equipment deviations and report to hospital manager and line manager and ensure the appropriate remedial action has been taken
    • Conduct root cause analysis as it relates to recurring technical / mechanical failures
    • Ensure equipment maintenance and operations adhere to machinery regulations OHS act
    • Responsible for the drafting of the facility Plan
    • Oversee the repair, maintenance, installation of electrical machinery and equipment
    • Repair and maintenance of basic and industrial appliances
    • Is responsible for the overall reticulation of the facility
