    Resort Receptionist – Boulder Bay

    Key Performance Areas: 

    • Duties range from telephone, office administration, reservations, stock/asset control, data capturing and handling of money.
    • Reception/housekeeping including preparing and checking in clients.
    • This person must be able to work without supervision and have good customer relations. Relief Manager when on leave.

    Position Requirements:

    • Matric
    • 2 years’ experience in a similar position
    • Computer literacy skills including Excel & Word.
    • Hospitality experience will be beneficial.

    Key Performance Areas:

    Food & Beverage Manager – Cayley Lodge & Mountain Resort

    Key Performance Areas: The following role is required on one of our established properties:

    • Full Management responsibility of a Food & Beverage division.
    • Department revenues, welfare, training, expense control, operating equipment, direct costs and other expenses in order to achieve set budgets
    • Monitoring and control of all food and beverage results inclusive but not limited to food, beverage, operating equipment and operating supplies and trading summaries
    • Maintaining Service Standards in all F&B areas relating to management

    • Manage workplace relations through adherence to the relevant legislation and internal policies and procedures

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Previous experience with wildlife, animal conservation, and game is highly beneficial.
    • Leading interactive Exotic game tours and a variety of cultural activities with groups of guests of all ages and cultures on a 60-hectare reserve

    GSE Supervisor Housekeeping – Falcon Glen Hot Springs Resort

    Key Performance Areas:

    • To oversee housekeeping and laundry staff and ensure staff are allocated adequate work daily.
    • Checking all units on a check in day, one of each housekeepers’ units to be checked on other days to ensure that housekeeping staff are cleaning to the standards of the resort.
    • Checking the checklist against items in the unit before the guests checks in and when the guest checks out.
    • Checking upholstery, curtains, public amenities and games rooms daily.
    • Ensure that staff are using equipment and consumables correctly and avoiding damage to same & self as well as ensure wastage of consumables does not occur
    • Report any maintenance problems at reception and record in the maintenance logbook and follow up to check the request has been completed
    • Ensure that the necessary laundry equipment, fire extinguishers & housekeeping equipment is serviced & maintained when necessary
    • Controlling and recording spring-cleans, replacement utensils, crockery & cutlery as well as reporting and recording breakages to reception timeously and updating the Breakages register
    • Record the issues of consumables and guest supplies as laid down by management.
    • Undertaking monthly laundry & linen stock, utensil stock and consumable stock by the last working day of the month, checking the linen stock takes on a weekly basis, checking that daily housekeeping stock issues sheets correspond with consumable stock take
    • Issue linen, towels, bathmats etc. from said storeroom as required, checking that linen issued corresponds with linen returned and laundered on a daily basis
    • Ensuring that all subordinates are trained according to company standards.
    • Alert management of overcrowding in units and / or any unacceptable behaviour.
    • Act as a back up to the Housekeeper when off
    • Be available as back up for housekeeping
    • Deal with and try to solve any housekeeping or laundry staff grievances

    Position Requirements:

    • Matric
    • Minimum 2-years’ experience in similar environment
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Good communication skills in English
    • Good people skills
    • Single staff accommodation provided
