    General Manager

    What you will do:

    • Develop and execute a business development strategy aligned with the global KONE vision.
    • Lead all business activities to meet short- and long-term goals, focusing on sales, marketing, and major projects.
    • To promote our services, we build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and key Elevator and escalator industry leaders.
    • Manage complex sales opportunities, partnerships, and projects.
    • Oversee the development and performance of the regional/branch team to meet established sales and business goals.
    • Ensure employee safety, tool implementation, and compliance with company policies.
    • Planned and reported regional/branch performance, including budgeting and financial reporting.
    • Act as the primary KONE representative, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

    Are you the one:

    • Prior experience of min 8 years of business management in sales and operational management with budget responsibility
    • Prior experience of min 6 years in a management/leadership position
    • At the minimum bachelor’s degree in economics, Business, or another relevant field is completed.
    • Proven experience in strategic planning, business development, and operational leadership.
    • Strong financial acumen with P&L management experience.
    • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills with a customer-focused approach.
    • Ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve business objectives.
    • Fluency in English

    Salesperson - NBS - JHB

    Are you the one?

    • A diploma or higher will be advantageous.
    • Minimum 3 - 5 years of technical experience in the elevator/escalator industry preferred.
    • Minimum 3 - 5 years’ technical experience the construction and building materials.
    • Experience from/ familiar with solution selling methodology.
    • Experience from/ familiar with (selling) complex technology solutions.
    • Highly motivated, goal-oriented, diligent, organized self-starter with an orientation towards a high level of customer service.
    • Proactively develops and creates customer relationships in his/her area of responsibility.
    • In early phases of projects, drives solution selling methodology with architects and developers, consultants, or other influencers to ensure KONE solutions are meeting customers’ needs and creating value throughout the lifecycle taking into account the whole KONE product portfolio.
    • Creates interest and demonstrates the value of KONE digital offering to influencers and customers.
    • Develops and grows KONE’s position in his/her customer base or market area.
    • Creates and communicates leads and sales opportunities for the entire KONE sales team (e.g. cross-selling).
    • Ensures customer satisfaction and solves complaints with the rest of the KONE team.
    • Documents the customer and contact information, responsible for correct customer, influencer, and contact data in CRM.
    • Ability to interpret and analyze data to draw conclusions and identify patterns.
    • Passion for sales, with a proven track record and a strong customer focus.
    • Generates leads, opportunities, orders, and contracts to meet the sales budget and pricing targets.
    • Finds customer needs and designs solutions to meet them.
    • Is accountable for setting optimal market pricing for each solution.
    • Requests technical know-how from Customer Solutions Engineering (CSE) in the tendering phase in non-standard cases and according to local policy.
    • Arrange pre-tender, and pre-booking reviews and ensure Sales-to-Operations handover with complete and correct information.
    • Ensures the importance of site readiness is communicated to customers and included in the contract.
    • Validates that the contents of the order received from the customer are in line with the negotiation process outcome, including terms and conditions, quality, and safety.
    • Is accountable for the project until Order Booking.
    • Support the execution of business development initiatives i.e. customer visits and improve customer-centricity, competitive position, market share, and profitability.
    • Work closely with the Country Operations and Global NEB teams to ensure profitable growth.
    • Excellent English communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Knowledge of other African languages will be advantageous.

    • Experience in the local South African market is preferred.
    • Fluency in English is a must.
